Why Early Access?

In The Toilet, players travel across a toxic world aboard a giant transport mech, rescue survivors, restore the atmosphere, and build automated production systems.

The core gameplay is already playable, but we want to continue expanding the world, adding new automation chains, creatures, quests, locations, story content, and polishing existing systems with community feedback.

Early Access will allow us to shape the game together with players while continuing active development.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As a solo developer, I currently expect The Toilet to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This will give me time to expand the game, add new content, improve existing systems, fix bugs, and continue development based on player feedback.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more content, locations, creatures, automation systems, quests, story content, and gameplay features than the Early Access version.

During Early Access, I plan to continue expanding the world, improving the atmosphere restoration systems, adding new production chains, balancing existing mechanics, and refining the overall player experience based on community feedback.

The goal is for the full version to offer a larger world, more progression options, additional content, and a more polished experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already includes the core gameplay experience of The Toilet.

Players can explore the world, operate the Transport Mech, build automation systems, restore the atmosphere, complete quests, manage resources, rescue survivors, and fight hostile creatures.

Most major gameplay systems are already implemented and playable. However, the game is still under active development and players may encounter bugs, balancing issues, unfinished content, and systems that will continue to evolve throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will have a lower price during Early Access. We plan to increase the price when the full version is released, as the game will include more content, features, polish, and overall gameplay depth at that point.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout Early Access. I plan to listen to player suggestions, bug reports, balance feedback, and general discussions to help guide future development.

Player feedback will help identify issues, improve existing systems, and influence future content updates. As a solo developer, community input is especially valuable in helping prioritize development efforts.”
