What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are adopting Early Access mainly to co-create deeply with players and make Sandstorm Conquest even better.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About a month”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The planned full version may differ from the Early Access version in the following ways:

1. "Famous Generals Assist" – General Progression System
New classic Three Kingdoms generals such as Guan Yu and Zhuge Liang could be added. Each general might come with exclusive troops and active abilities. For example, Guan Yu’s "Flooding the Seven Armies" could potentially slow down enemy units, while Zhuge Liang’s "Eight Trigrams Formation" might generate a shield. Generals and their affiliated troops could be linked in progression; upgrading a general might also boost the stats of their troops. This could elevate combat from simple unit clashes to a more strategic "General + Troops" synergy dynamic.

2. "Legion Synergy" – Combo Bonus Mechanic
A Three Kingdoms-themed unit synergy system could be introduced. Specific unit combinations might trigger exclusive buffs when deployed together. For instance, "Shield Infantry + Archers" could activate "Solid Defense & Support Fire," potentially increasing Shield Infantry defense by 20% and Archer attack speed by 15%. "Cavalry + Infantry" might trigger "Charge & Breakthrough," where Cavalry charges could potentially cause additional area damage alongside Infantry. Synergy effects might be unlocked through the "Tactics Codex" system, potentially upgrading unit combinations from functional complementarity to strategic synergy.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You may refer to the content in the About this game section on the store page.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will always be free.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will collect feedback through multiple channels, share development updates regularly, host community votes and co-creation events, and integrate valuable suggestions directly into game updates, allowing players to deeply participate in refining gameplay and content.”

About This Game

Introduction to Sandstorm Conquest

Sandstorm Conquest is a cartoon-style tower defense strategy game set in the Three Kingdoms era, transforming classic battles like the Battle of Chibi into intense and thrilling offensive-defensive battlefields. It delivers an easy-to-learn experience where you can enjoy the strategic fun of deploying troops and formations.

Core Gameplay: Unit Synergy, Defend the Sand City

Every battle is a dual test of resources and strategy:

  • You can command multiple unit types, including Shield Infantry, Spearmen, and Archers. By flexibly adjusting their numbers and positions, you can build an impregnable defense line. Shield Infantry absorb damage at the front, Spearmen suppress enemies with follow-up attacks, and Archers eliminate foes from a distance, leaving enemies unable to advance.

  • The battlefield displays the number of remaining enemies in real time, requiring you to dynamically adapt your deployment based on enemy types. For dense waves of weak enemies, focus on Archers’ AOE clearing; for heavily armored units, increase coordination between Shield Infantry and Spearmen to break through defenses.

  • Levels span from the Battle of Chibi to the Battle of Guandu, each with unique terrain and enemy configurations. Only precise strategies can keep your city walls intact.

Unique Features: Progression & Development, Build a Mighty Army

  • Unit Progression: Through level rewards and resource collection, you can upgrade unit attributes—such as boosting Shield Infantry’s defense or Archers’ attack speed—and unlock advanced units like Cavalry and Crossbowmen, continuously enhancing your army’s combat power.

  • Faction Development: Leverage the Tactics Codex and Construction systems to upgrade city defenses and research tactical technologies, providing attribute bonuses to all units. Preset multiple unit compositions in the Barracks interface to easily adapt to different battle scenarios.

  • Low-Stress Rewards: Built-in features like daily check-ins and lucky draws let you accumulate resources even offline, supporting unit upgrades and faction development. You can experience the thrill of Three Kingdoms conquest without heavy grinding.

Game Experience

From the flames of Chibi to the clash at Guandu, you’ll experience the dual joys of strategic deployment and offensive-defensive warfare in a cartoonized Three Kingdoms battlefield. With flexible unit combinations and faction development, you’ll gradually build your own mighty Three Kingdoms army and carve out your legacy in Sandstorm Conquest.
