What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Labyrinth RPG entered Early Access to give its combat, progression, balance, usability, and presentation room to grow while the core game was being built. The core loop is now established, and development is focused on the remaining planned update, stabilization, and preparing a complete 1.0 release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Labyrinth RPG to remain in Early Access through one more planned major update and the stabilization work that follows. We will transition to 1.0 when the game is stable and the core experience feels complete. Plans may change as development and testing continue.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for 1.0 to include the completed Early Access foundation, the remaining planned update, and final balance, performance, interface, and presentation work. The exact scope may change as development and testing continue.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core dungeon-exploration loop, party-based turn-based combat, character and gear progression, Village systems, and repeatable descents are playable now. Content, balance, performance, interface, and presentation remain in active development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to keep the same base price during and after Early Access. If that plan changes, we will communicate it before the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback is welcome through the Steam Community and the support channels linked on the store page. Reports and suggestions are reviewed alongside structured testing and observed issues, with particular attention to stability, usability, balance, and compatibility.”

About This Game

Labyrinth RPG is a tactical party-based dungeon crawler about dangerous descents, deliberate turn-based combat, and learning when to push deeper or return home.

Lead a party into the Labyrinth, explore hostile floors, overcome traps and encounters, collect equipment, and bring progress back to the Village. Each expedition asks how much risk to accept before returning to prepare for the next descent.

Recruit Named Villagers

Recruit named villagers in the Village and bring them into the Labyrinth, where they fight alongside you in turn-based battles. Every party member has independent equipment, roles, skills, and progression, so building the group matters before and during each descent.

Begin with the First Descent

Start at the beginning of the journey, with Wisp-guided story moments introducing the Labyrinth and the road ahead.

Master Tactical Party Combat

Choose abilities, manage targets and status effects, and read the flow of each encounter. Preparation and careful decisions matter more than speed.

Read the Labyrinth

Traps and Special Reward Rooms create risks and opportunities beyond combat. Symbol Puzzle Chests present short poems describing abilities. Interpret the clues and choose the matching Symbol to unlock the reward.

Return, Grow, and Descend Again

Collect gear, develop your characters, and use Village systems to prepare the party for the next expedition. Knowing when to retreat is part of the strategy.
