About This Game

An easy job. A lost continent.

Frank Frantic is a small-time treasure hunter scraping a living selling junk in Gilbert City. One night, an elderly millionaire walks into his shop with a job: track down an intern who has stolen a stone artifact from the mysterious PANGEA Project. Good money, low risk. What could possibly go wrong?

Almost everything. The stone is just one of five, the intern hits harder than he does, and the trail drags him from the city sewers to an abandoned lighthouse, a ship full of lunatics, an island with an erupting volcano… and a continent from 335 million years ago.

An old-school adventure

Inventory puzzles, impossible item combinations, dialogue trees and lateral thinking. Eight acts that start as a 90s small-town comedy and end in a prehistoric world full of creatures you won't find in any textbook.

  • Two protagonists who can't stand each other: Frank, a coward, a liar and luckier than he deserves, and Paula, tough, sarcastic and the one who actually gets things done. They hate each other at first and need each other by the end.

  • Over 200 locations: from a pizzeria in the dark, a motel and a strip club to jungles full of incredible creatures and a mysterious mutagen that would drive Charles Darwin to drink.

  • A ridiculous cast: a stoner buddy, a butler with a pedigree, a short-sighted cabin boy, a blind, deaf cook with a prodigious nose, a stone god who hasn't stopped playing guitar since he lost his girlfriend, a Rastafarian rodent and Rocky, a giant fanged gerbil that eats rocks, and a whole bunch of other nutcases.

  • Text in English, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), French, Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Catalan, Valencian, Basque and Galician.

Developer excuses

  • Made by a single human being (and it shows): one person's social life and sleep were sacrificed at the altar of Unity to make this. If you find a bug, it's not an error; it's a cry for help.

  • A "compact" protagonist: Frank isn't short; he has an optimized center of gravity. But trust me, he's not as dumb as he looks.

  • Barrel-aged since 2005: the first beta was started when phones had buttons and we had more hair. Over 20 years of development guarantee an unrivaled vintage… or prove I'm very slow. Probably the latter.

  • Old-school puzzles: if you get stuck, it's my fault, but I'll tell you it's to "encourage lateral thinking." Complaints go to the community forum.

About the art and AI

Between 2014 and 2024 I modeled and rendered the game's first 100 backgrounds in 3D while learning animation, modeling and how to program it all in Unity. It was beautiful, and impossible for one person to sustain. Rather than cut the second half of the story short, I used AI to generate the 100 brand new locations and to remaster the old renders, improving textures and lighting. The story, dialogue, puzzles and code are all my own work. The result is the complete game, the way I imagined it, without waiting another 20 years.

The music of Pangea

The music for the first beta was composed by Óscar Bravo and Juan Pablo de Miguel, who wrote a dozen incredible tracks. With the help of AI, I generated the rest of the soundtrack in their style. More than 100 tracks will accompany you throughout the adventure.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Translations into other languages are done with AI from the original Spanish text. The story, dialogue, puzzles and code are all my own work. The game does not generate anything with AI while you play.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Pangea is not a sexual game, but it features scantily clad women and some brief nudity. Don't panic, it's not that bad!
