About This Game

Spirit Mask RPG is a Creature Collecting meets Super Mario RPG - a mask collecting RPG.

The island of Timberfell has seen an increase number of missing people's cases. Over 5000 people have disappeared in the last months. You venture off to the island to uncover it's secrets and find someone you have not heard from in a long time.

Collect Mask shards from defeating the spirits and craft your own.

Each victory gives you shards to either craft your own mask in battle or use the extra shards to strengthen a mask you already have.

Find Mask charms to give passive and extra stat boost to your mask.

Your feedback is vital

The prototype will be available for play-testing here so that  can collect feedback to ensure the game feels as good as it can and develop a fun experience. Just testing out the mechanics and making sure it exports properly. I have several masks which can be used in combat at the moment, with 50 planned for the playable demo, the play test has 12 or so masks. Each mask has 4 attacks, one elemental, one status, one basic and one stronger attack, each consuming a specific amount of stamina you have to juggle in combat and having to defend to recover stamina. With strong inspiration from Jade Cocoon (not the fusion system but story and - most importantly) the trainer character will fight in combat.

The island will have load to explore as corruption will ebb and flow with the actions of the story.

there will be lots of collectables and mini games.

and combat has been really fun so far.
