What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a solo dev, I had to choose to finish the Story Mode, or the procedural "Breach Mode," for an October launch.

The infinite replayability of an SCP:CB-inspired procedural map was the clear winner, and I'm launching with enough "zones" to keep runs interesting. More will always be better, for this kind of game.

Yes, I need to earn some cash to keep development going without taking publisher money. Early Access is a perfect fit, and I will happily add content for another year if fans keep supporting the effort.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Eight months.

The first 4 months will be adding more zones, more SCPs, and more ways to interact with the world.

The final 4 months will be completing the 70% finished "Story Mode," a linear progression with deep lore, set in 1976. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The plan is simple: 3-4 new zones, including Research, Class-D, and "Corrupted." The others on the list are a full subterranean Maintenance zone, Tactical, and an Executive Wing. Each zone requires at least 12 custom map tiles, but 20 seems to be the sweet spot.

The biggest addition that is not in the game now is the linear Story Mode, with voice acting that has already been recorded, and a mind-bendy-memory-time-travel hook. It's what I set out to make, but Breach Mode is better suited for Early Access.

Community-requested features are going to be respected, but as a baseline I am expecting at least 3 new SCPs added to the stalker roster, and a matching amount of new items and "weapons" to fight and contain them. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Breach Mode is fully playable, but Story Mode is currently disabled. The difficulty will need consistent tuning (the game needs to be very hard!) but most of the mechanics are tested and polished. Are there bugs? Naturally! I'm solo, after all.

The game needs more zones. Full sets of 20 map tiles take time, so I've hired a level designer and want to keep him making new zones full-time. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The final price will increase once the game has more content, and the 2-3 hour Story Mode is complete.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As much fan engagement as I can get on the Discord. I move fast, so if a feature seems worthwhile, it will be prototyped in a day or two, and ready for testing not long after.

This is SCP, so the community matters more than anything.”

About This Game

It’s called a Loop. Securing and containing Antimemes is not difficult with the right technology, but these anomalies can erase the research, delete the records, and…eat…the personnel. Deleted. Gone. And nobody even remembers they existed. The SCP Foundation then begins the process all over again, believing it's the first time.

This is not the first Antimemetics Division.

There are many tools to help you survive, if you can find them. A facility full of SCP technology with nobody to use it. You’ll need every edge to survive the Shadowy Remnants, Burnouts, Unthinkables, and famous SCPs that currently stalk the facility, looking for memories to consume.

Game Features:

  • Each run is unique, and brutally challenging.

  • Piece together what happened to the facility through notes, logs, and corrupted computer files.

  • Consume Amnestics to forget hazardous ideas, or Mnestics to remember and see what has been erased.

  • Restore a fluctuating power grid, recycle remnants to purchase powerful upgrades, and uncover the procedures to recapture and contain iconic SCP enemies.

  • Safe, Euclid, and Keter difficulty levels keep the challenge high.

  • Launching with Containment zone, Admin zone, and a mysterious Liminal zone that may look familiar.

The following SCPs are in the Early Access version, with many more to come!

SCP-4987

SCP-3125

SCP-055

SCP-033

SCP-6317-1

SCP-4739

SCP-538
