Drag a wisp of light through a swarm of enemies. Watch chain lightning find its own path between them. Primordio is a bullet hell built around drag-and-drop movement instead of dodge-everything reflexes. Runs pull you back in without ever feeling like a grind until your power clicks into place.

About This Game

Primordio is a game about chain lightning,

Built for the person who wants the chaos of a swarm without the reflex check that usually comes with it.

Primordio drops you into a swarm as a drifting wisp instead of a ship you steer with a stick. Drag it where you want to go. Chain lightning does the rest, arcing from enemy to enemy on its own. Early runs are simple. Stick with it. The meta-progression starts stacking, and that's where the game actually opens up. Builds get stranger. Swarms get denser. Then the moment you've been quietly working toward finally lands: you stand still while lightning tears a whole screen apart.

It takes a little while to get there. That's by design, and it's worth the runs it takes to arrive.

You are a wisp of creation in a futile struggle against life itself.

Chain Lightning That Finds Its Own Targets

  • Drag your wisp through the swarm. The lightning arcs between enemies on its own, no aiming required

  • Late-game builds turn this into a screen-clearing chain that keeps finding the next target and the next

  • The payoff is standing still and watching a whole wave come apart in one arc

A Slower Burn Than This Genre Usually Allows

  • No twitch reflexes required. Movement is drag-and-drop, not a dodge-everything gauntlet

  • The first stretch plays straightforward while your meta-progression builds up underneath it

  • Stick with it past the early runs and the real power curve opens up fast

Deep, Layered Metaprogression Worth Digging Into

  • Every run banks progress toward permanent upgrades, even the ones that end early

  • Builds branch enough that two runs rarely play the same way once the tree opens up

Season One adds fresh leaderboards, so there's now a number worth chasing beyond your own best

run

Season One: New Effects, New Leaderboards, New Reasons to Come Back

  • Chain lightning now shrinks, breaks apart, and flickers out instead of just fading. Thickness scales to how many chains are left

  • Fresh leaderboards give returning players and new runs alike something to climb toward

  • A growing in-game compendium fills in the systems you're curious about, at your own pace
