You wake up on a quiet beach with empty pockets and a whole island to call home. Grow crops, fish off the pier, dig for treasure and cook something warm at sunset. Feeling brave? The caves are waiting. Take it slow, the island isn't going anywhere.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Shorekeeper is made by one person, and the island grows best with players walking around on it. Early Access lets me hear what you enjoy, what feels slow and what you wish you could do, while there's still plenty of room to shape the game around it. Your feedback will decide a lot of what comes next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About a year. If the island needs a bit more time, I'll take it and keep everyone posted on Discord and Steam.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will bring a lot more life to the island. Here's what's planned so far:

• More villagers to meet, with friendships to grow, gifts to give and daily requests that keep every day a little different
• Animals to raise, with a coop, a barn and new goods to cook and sell
• Decorating, free building placement and a cozier home to upgrade
• New fish, new crops and more recipes
• Seasonal festivals and collections to complete
• The final chapter of the story, plus deeper caves with new creatures waiting at the bottom

Some of this may shift along the way, depending on what players ask for most.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Shorekeeper is fully playable right now. You can farm through every season, fish, forage, cook, mine and fight your way down the caves, level up your professions and follow the story across the island. The first villagers already live there and will point you toward what needs doing. The story's final chapter arrives with the full release. Expect a few rough edges and some balance changes as updates roll in.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may go up at full release as the island grows. If that happens, I'll announce it well ahead of time, so anyone who'd like to join early can still do so at the current price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Come say hi on our Discord! That's where I share progress, ask for opinions and hear about bugs first. I also read every Steam Discussion and review. Content updates will arrive every few months with smaller patches in between.”

About This Game

You washed up on a sleepy shore with nothing but the clothes you're wearing and a slightly soggy sense of optimism. In Shorekeeper, that's plenty. Light a campfire, pitch a tent and turn a little patch of sand into a home you'll want to come back to every evening.

Grow Your Own Garden

Plant seeds, water them in the morning and watch your little patch come to life. Every season brings new crops, so there's always something to look forward to.

Catch of the Day

Cast a line off the pier, wait for the bobber to dip and time your pull just right. Sardines are easy. Tuna will make you work for it.

Chop, Gather, Craft

Chop palms, cut grass and haul stones back to camp. Turn it all into sturdier tools, warm meals and new bridges to the islands next door.

Dig a Little Deeper

The mines go down further than you'd think. Swing your pickaxe at copper, iron and sparkly gems, then make it back to your tent before you fall asleep on your feet.

Things That Rattle in the Dark

Skeletons climb out of their graves on the beach and bats hang around in the caves. Keep a sword handy. They're more rattly than scary, mostly.

Dress for the Island

Pick a hairstyle, an outfit and maybe a fancy pair of glasses before you set off. Island fashion has no dress code.

Little by Little

Level up farming, fishing, foraging and mining, follow quests across the island and sell your extra harvest for coins. The tide comes in either way.
