What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“VIVA is a long‑term platform intended to grow city by city. Early Access allows us to release playable monthly editions, refine traversal systems, expand districts, and shape future cities with community feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The initial period of the Early Access pilot is from April to September of 2026. We plan to release monthly editions throughout the Early Access and expand city coverage and systems over time. Overall app Early Access status is anticipated for at least the first year to two years of development and iteration.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Future editions plan to include additional districts, expanded cities, deeper encyclopedic content, improved traversal, and broader system features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The April Early Access release includes the core platform plus VIVA Pittsburgh — Early Access Launch Edition, featuring a curated playable district, multi‑modal traversal, and an initial set of encyclopedic entries.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The VIVA base platform is free‑to‑play. Optional cities and premium experiences may be introduced later; the entry experience will remain free.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“VIVA is designed to grow with its community. We’ll be involving players directly throughout Early Access by sharing monthly edition plans, gathering feedback on traversal, city content, performance, and accessibility, and adjusting our roadmap based on what players want to explore next.

We’ll host active discussions, polls, and community sessions through our official Discord, where players can talk directly with the developers, help shape upcoming cities and features, report issues, and participate in playtesting and content reviews.

Your feedback directly influences VIVA as we expand into a global network of living digital cities.”

About This Game

VIVA: VRIDIAN Integrated Virtual Architecture is a global urban exploration platform that turns real cities into living, playable digital worlds. Built by VRIDIAN, an architecture and spatial‑computing firm, VIVA blends physical and digital space to invite human‑centric engagement: explore authentic urban places, discover unique points of view, and connect with the city in a groundbreaking way.

VIVA begins with Pittsburgh — Early Access April 2026 Launch Edition and expands through monthly editions during Early Access. The platform is designed to grow with people—residents, visitors, local businesses, cultural institutions, and city partners—so the experience reflects real places, real insights, and, over time, real interaction and commerce.

Community at the Core

VIVA is developed in the open with the community. We’ll share edition plans, run polls, host playtests, and invite feedback on traversal, districts, accessibility, partner experiences, and future cities. Your ideas influence what gets built next—district by district, city by city. Join our Discord in the sidebar to join the conversation!

What You’ll Do

  • Explore real places — Navigate curated neighborhoods modeled from on-location data, with clear wayfinding and “why this matters” context woven through each space.

  • Move in new ways — Use V.E.E. (VRIDIAN Environment Explorer) to fly, glide, grapple, sail, or dive across rooftops, riverfronts, bridges, and skylines.

  • Learn with purpose — Unlock concise, factual encyclopedia entries revealing architectural, cultural, and civic content represented in real-world context.

  • Connect and co‑create — Help prioritize neighborhoods, experiences, and partner integrations; progressively trial interaction and commerce with local businesses and institutions during EA.

  • June: Expansion / Events

  • July: Skyline & Cultural Layers

Roadmap may evolve based on community and partner collaboration.

Roadmap Highlights (Planned During Early Access)

  • Partner experiences & commerce — Progressive roll‑outs with cities, local businesses, and cultural institutions to enable real interaction and shopping in digital twins.

Global and Modular by Design

VIVA’s cities are delivered as optional, lightweight modules so players can explore the places they care about while keeping installation sizes manageable. As the platform grows beyond Pittsburgh, we will collaborate with additional cities, venues, and community partners to bring human‑centered, place‑based interaction to life.
