About This Game

But Why? is a short, atmospheric experience about a penguin’s irrational yet unstoppable journey.

Your goal as the player is simple:
keep moving.

Slippery terrain, powerful winds, and harsh conditions constantly resist your progress.
Sometimes you gain momentum, sometimes you lose control, and sometimes you are forced to slow down and reflect.

There is no explicit narrative, dialogue, or guidance.
The game doesn’t ask what you are doing — it asks why you keep going.

But Why? is not about success,
but persistence.
Not about reaching the top,
but choosing to walk anyway.
