“Releasing the game in Early Access allows me, as a solo indie developer, to actively involve the community in shaping the game’s future. Early Access provides an opportunity to gather meaningful player feedback on gameplay balance, class abilities, performance, and overall direction while development is ongoing.

It also gives players transparency into the project’s progress and the chance to decide early on whether the game aligns with their interests. By participating in Early Access, players can directly influence development through feedback and community support, helping prioritize features, refine mechanics, and streamline production as the game evolves.”

“The game will remain in Early Access for a period of 12-24 months while core battle royale mechanics, class-based abilities, and essential systems are developed, tested, and refined. Because the project is still early in development, timelines may adjust as development progresses and player feedback is incorporated.

Regular updates will be shared with the community to communicate progress, planned improvements, and the path toward a full release.”

计划中的完整版本和抢先体验版本到底有多少不同?

“The Early Access version currently focuses on core gameplay systems and does not yet include the full battle royale experience. At this stage, players can invite friends directly through Steam to participate in a smaller-scale deathmatch mode, allowing core mechanics, abilities, and performance to be tested and refined.

The full release is planned to expand significantly on this foundation, introducing the complete battle royale mode along with additional game modes, features, balance improvements, and overall polish. As development progresses, updates will be rolled out incrementally, gradually expanding content and functionality toward the final version.”

抢先体验版本的现状如何?

“The current Early Access build is in a pre-alpha state, with core gameplay systems under active development and frequent updates being made. Features, balance, and content are evolving rapidly as the foundation of the game is established.

Early Access is expected to launch within the next few months, though timing may adjust as development progresses. Regular playtests are hosted to test new systems and gather feedback, and community members who support the project may be invited to participate in earlier testing phases.”

Discord for ongoing communication with the developer, featuring dedicated feedback channels, discussions, and community polls.

Regular development updates, including detailed patch notes and public changelogs to ensure transparency.

Developer livestreams to explain design decisions and gather live feedback from the community.

A public roadmap so players can clearly see what is in progress, what is planned next, and what has recently shipped.

Prior to Steam Early Access, supporters may be granted access to very early work-in-progress builds. Once the game enters Early Access on Steam, updates, testing, and feedback will be accessible to the entire community through Steam and Discord.”

Ghouls is an open-world third-person battle royale where fantasy-based classes collide. Each class brings unique abilities and distinct playstyles, forcing you to adapt, strategize, and outplay your opponents. Drop in solo, team up in duos, or dominate in squad-based matches as you fight to become the last ghoul standing. Choose your class wisely, exploit enemy weaknesses, and crush rival ghouls before they can revive and turn the tide against you.

Players choose from a variety of classes tailored to different playstyles and compete across Battle Royale, Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch modes in pursuit of victory. Each class features a unique set of abilities designed to support distinct combat roles and strategies.

Abilities are carefully balanced with clear strengths and weaknesses, encouraging players to think tactically and adapt their approach to each encounter based on the tools at their disposal. Explore the map to loot weapons and enhance them by collecting Ghoul Essence—earned through defeating enemies or discovered throughout the world—to gain the upper hand in combat.

Move quickly as a deadly electrical storm relentlessly closes in, forcing players toward a centralized battleground. There is no escape—only those who outlast and eliminate their enemies will survive before the storm consumes all.
