「Null Hørizøn is a passion project built by a solo developer. While I have a clear vision for the game's atmosphere and mechanics, a complex space simulation requires more than just one perspective to reach its full potential.

I am bringing the game to Early Access in hopes of building a community that truly understands and appreciates the nuances of this genre. I need your feedback to stress-test the economy, fine-tune the tactical combat, and ensure the progression feels rewarding. I don't want to develop in a vacuum; I want to grow this game alongside a dedicated player base. Your insight will help shape the features, balance, and future content of the game, turning a solid foundation into a deep, rewarding, replayable experience.」

「I do not have a fixed release date. As a solo developer, my priority is delivering a polished, high-quality experience rather than rushing to meet a deadline. The game will remain in Early Access for as long as it takes to fully realize its vision and incorporate community feedback, working toward making the final version as complete and bug-free as possible.
My current aim is six months to a year, but that is subject to change.」

「I have a solid foundation. Over the course of early access I plan on balancing, bug fixing, and adding even more features/ fine tuning the already robust feature set that is here. As for content, I plan to add new ships, new events, new planet types, new galaxy types, more in depth lore and story, and a few more surprises!

「For a current list of features, please refer to the "About This Game" section on the Steam Market page.
The core gameplay loop is fully functional. I have all of the foundations laid. From exploration to combat to economy to reputation to customization, the main framework is there. It just needs to be expanded upon and polished.

「I am pricing Early Access lower than my intended final price. I want to make sure that the price positively reflects the value.」

Null Hørizøn is a 2.5D First-Person retro-futuristic space simulation that blends tactical real-time combat, Grid-Based Turn-Based movement, high-stakes trading, and cosmic horror. You are the commander of a starship on the edge of civilized space, drawn toward a mysterious transmission known only as the "Null Signal."

In a Universe torn between the authoritarian Solaris Authority, the anarchic pirates of the Eclipse Syndicate, and the profit-driven Zenith Consortium, your choices define your legacy. Will you be a wealthy merchant, a feared bounty hunter, or a legendary explorer?

CURRENT KEY FEATURES

Grid-based Exploration - Navigate procedurally generated 2.5D galaxies via grid based movement inside a unique pixel art driven First-Person cockpit view of your ship. Every galaxy is procedurally generated and contains stars, planets, resources, friends, enemies, contracts, random events and more.

Tactical Real Time Starship Combat - Smash buttons and manage systems in unique real-time 1-on-1 dogfights. Divert power to shields to survive a barrage or execute evasive maneuvers when the odds turn against you. Every skirmish is a balance of Energy, cooldowns, and timing.
A Living, breathing Economy - Buy low in industrial sectors and sell high in trading hubs—or risk it all smuggling Narcotics and Stolen AI through police blockades. The market reacts to the galaxy's state, offering massive profits for those brave enough to navigate the void.
Deep Ship Customization - Start with a nimble Kestrel Interceptor or a rugged Mule Industrial Hauler. Upgrade your vessel with better hull plating, expanded cargo bays, and experimental weaponry like Railguns, Ion Blasters, and eventually buy bigger, badder, more beautiful vessels to navigate the cosmos.
Reputation Matters - Who you choose to be is up to you. Will you be a friendly trader? How about a daring scoundrel? Maybe you prefer being a murderous pirate? A brave bounty hunter? The choices you make will shape how the galaxy and it's inhabitants react to you. Enemies can become friends and friends can become space-dust.
Infinite Procedural Exploration - No two galaxies are the same. Navigate through dense Asteroid Fields, scavenging Ship Graveyards, and unstable Void Rifts. Manage your Fuel and other resources as you push deeper into the unknown, where the risks—and rewards—grow with every warp.
Immersive V.O.I.D. Interface - Interact with your ship through a diegetic, holographic operating system. Manage contracts, decode signals, and even play retro mini-games on your cockpit terminal while drifting through the cosmos.
The Null Awaits - Something is out there. Encounter ancient monoliths, glitching entities, and the cosmic horror of The NULL HORIZON.
