Leaving Early Access: Q4 2026

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Null Hørizøn is a passion project built by a solo developer. While I have a clear vision for the game's atmosphere and mechanics, a complex space simulation requires more than just one perspective to reach its full potential.

I am bringing the game to Early Access in hopes of building a community that truly understands and appreciates the nuances of this genre. I need your feedback to stress-test the economy, fine-tune the tactical combat, and ensure the progression feels rewarding. I don't want to develop in a vacuum; I want to grow this game alongside a dedicated player base. Your insight will help shape the features, balance, and future content of the game, turning a solid foundation into a deep, rewarding, replayable experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I do not have a fixed release date. As a solo developer, my priority is delivering a polished, high-quality experience rather than rushing to meet a deadline. The game will remain in Early Access for as long as it takes to fully realize its vision and incorporate community feedback, working toward making the final version as complete and bug-free as possible.
My current aim is six months to a year, but that is subject to change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I have a solid foundation. Over the course of early access I plan on balancing, bug fixing, and adding even more features/ fine tuning the already robust feature set that is here. As for content, I plan to add new ships, new events, new planet types, new galaxy types, more in depth lore and story, and a few more surprises!

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“For a current list of features, please refer to the "About This Game" section on the Steam Market page.
The core gameplay loop is fully functional. I have all of the foundations laid. From exploration to combat to economy to reputation to customization, the main framework is there. It just needs to be expanded upon and polished.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I am pricing Early Access lower than my intended final price. I want to make sure that the price positively reflects the value.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is the backbone of this project. I will be actively engaging with players on the Steam forums and Discord to discuss gameplay mechanics, gather ideas for new features, and refine the game's balance. Whether it’s tweaking the economy or brainstorming new content, your input will directly influence the development roadmap.”

About This Game

SURVIVE THE FRONTIER. FOLLOW THE SIGNAL.

Null Horizon is a first-person space sim about making money and staying alive at the edge of civilized space. Take contracts, haul cargo, hunt pirates, smuggle contraband, salvage wrecks, and upgrade your ship as you push deeper into dangerous sectors in search of a lost evacuation signal.

CURRENT FEATURES

- Pilot 17 ships, from fast fighters and cargo haulers to deep-space explorers and rare unlockable vessels

- Explore procedurally generated sectors filled with stations, traders, pirates, hazards, distress calls, resource fields, and stranger things in deep space

- Fight real-time starship battles from the cockpit by managing weapons, shields, energy, and ship systems under pressure

- Trade, mine, salvage, craft, and smuggle to build your ship, grow your credits, and survive longer runs into the void

- Earn trust or infamy with six factions, affecting docking access, jobs, prices, and who treats you like a customer or a target

- Build a fleet, recruit allied ships, and send squadrons on combat, escort, survey, and support missions

- Take on courier, patrol, bounty, survey, and smuggling jobs while following a story about a signal coming from beyond mapped space

The deeper you go, the better the rewards, the stronger the enemies, and the fewer safe places remain.

Prepare for departure, Captain. The Null Horizon is calling.
