Yulan is a place of wonder and beauty. Magical beasts roam the lands, farmers toil in the fields, and the Seekers delve deep into the mysteries of Essence itself. But where once only the conflict between the houses of Li, Sheng, and Xuan existed, a new struggle will erupt as an ancient enemy awakens.

Included in The Yulan faction DLC:

• A new Tale, consisting of 3 connecting maps, where you’ll find out how Yulan comes into contact with the rest of Aerbor

• 5 new Conquest maps highlighting the Yulan Biome and faction

• 8 troops with new traits and abilities

  • Many troops have three different upgrade choices

• Towns and settlements with new buildings

• Access to Essence of Order, Arcana, and Creation

  • Choose what Essence you favor as you upgrade your buildings

• A new biome of majestic trees, old ruins, and mysteries to discover

Owning the DLC does not exclude you from playing against others online, even if they don’t own the DLC, or vice versa.

The Tale of Yulan

Included in the Yulan DLC is a new Tale that tells an epic story across three connected maps. Discover how the forgotten lands of Yulan once more come into contact with the rest of the known factions. Follow the House of Sheng and their Wielders as they have to adapt to the dangers they unknowingly unleash.

New conquest maps

One large, two medium and two small Conquest maps are also included in the Yulan DLC, designed for playing with Yulan. Will you try your hand at fighting the old conflict of the houses, invading the island of Arleon, or defending the homelands of Yulan?

House Troop Upgrades

Five of the eight troops in the Yulan faction are house troops. When you upgrade their dwellings, you must choose which house they belong to. Li is the House of Order, Sheng is the House of Creation, and Xuan is the House of Arcana. The houses not only grant different Essences, but their troops also gain different abilities and stats.

• The lowly Conscript exchanges its peasant clothing for the colors of the houses as it brings its spear to the front lines.

• The Grenadier carries clay bombs to the battlefield, and when not hurling destruction, they bring the morale of the entire army up with the sounds of their house’s drums.

• The Tian are dragon-like creatures who fight for whatever house their human masters choose.

• Yi are master archers calling upon the very Essence of the house they hail from to bring their own form of power to the battle.

• Seekers delve deep into the complex weave of the Essences. A few find their answers and become powerful Wielders, but most turn into monster-like creatures called transcendents.

• And if their own troops won’t suffice, the houses call upon the mercenary forces of the Riders, who are often accompanied by the fox-like beasts known as Hu. And from time to time, even the fabled Feng will come to the aid of the houses, bringing fire and ruin upon all who oppose them.

Yulan Biome

With Yulan also comes their unique Biome of beauty and wonder. Lush forests, enchanted springs, and elegant flowers are waiting to be discovered. Yulan is an ancient land, holding many new locations to explore and dangers to conquer.
