Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Whispering Ledger is planned to remain in Early Access for approximately one year. Because the game blends narrative progression with evolving systems, additional refinement based on player feedback may adjust the timeline slightly, but the story has a clear end state and a planned 1.0 release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full launch of Whispering Ledger, we plan to have multiple story endings determined by player alliances and decisions, a fully realized mercantile system with multiple paths for acquiring and managing goods, and expanded progression and filtering tools to help players navigate the world and its resources.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At Early Access launch, Whispering Ledger includes a complete Prologue and Chapter 1, with all main cast vendors unlockable up to rank 3. Core systems such as shop ranks, clerks, shop events, and vendor progression are fully playable, with additional features and narrative chapters planned throughout the Early Access period.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The final version of Whispering Ledger will be priced higher than the Early Access version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Whispering Ledger is developed through an iterative process, with community feedback helping to fine-tune balance, pacing, system cohesion, and quality-of-life improvements. While the overarching story and ending are planned, player feedback plays a key role in shaping how systems feel and how content is delivered. Players will be able to submit feedback via the Steam community forum and all feedback and discussion will be taken into consideration when fine tuning systems.”

The developers describe the content like this:

Whispering Ledger contains explicit sexual acts between adults (18+), including futanari, which are women with male and female sexual anatomy.

All explicit sexual acts are avoidable, with the player having the option to opt out of any adult scene before it happens, with any given character in the game. In short, you can complete the entirety of Whispering Ledger without ever engaging in any intercourse whatsoever.

Regarding futanari content, the player takes the role of a male protagonist, but may consent to taking a submissive role in some sexual engagements. Players will always be prompted and given a choice before any kind of futanari-on-male penetration occurs.

There are no depictions, mentions, or allusions to sexual violence, such as rape, blackmail, coercion, or forced prostitution. All sex is unambiguously consensual.
