About This Game

Vitality is a 2D survival and settlement sandbox where you don't simply unlock new crafting benches — you build a civilization.

Explore a large simulated world alone or with friends, recruit settlers with unique skills, and lead your people through the ages as a living society emerges around you.

Progress through three distinct eras — the Stone Age, Medieval Age, and Industrial Age — each introducing new challenges, technologies, and opportunities that reshape the world and the way your people live.

One persistent character journeys through history as the world evolves around them, from untamed wilderness and primitive tribes to expanding kingdoms and smoke-filled factories.

Recruit Settlers and Build a Community

The world is filled with wanderers, craftsmen, scholars, and adventurers searching for purpose.

Rescue stranded travelers, earn the trust of wandering specialists, and convince skilled individuals to join your settlement.

Assign settlers tools and work and they will perform tasks much like another player would:

  • Gather resources and food

  • Farm crops and raise animals

  • Mine ore and transport materials

  • Construct buildings block by block

  • Explore dangerous regions

  • Fight alongside you in battle

Specialists provide powerful advantages. Skilled miners can uncover rich deposits, blacksmiths produce superior equipment, and mysterious mages may teach forbidden magic. Veteran companions become invaluable members of your growing civilization.

Settlements That Grow on Their Own

Buildings are not instantly placed from a menu.

Settlers physically carry materials, prepare terrain, lay foundations, raise walls, and complete structures through multiple stages of construction.

Communities grow organically and respond to the changing needs of the world:

  • Build additional housing as populations increase

  • Expand farms during food shortages

  • Construct defenses when danger threatens

  • Develop new industries as technology advances

Settlers remember and react to events around them. Damage their homes and they will notice. Assist their communities and they may reward your efforts.

Advance Through Three Distinct Ages

Each age fundamentally changes how the world is played.

Stone Age — Survival

Humanity struggles against an untamed world.

Hunt megafauna and dinosaurs, tame primitive mounts, survive deadly nights, and discover the first metals while establishing the foundations of civilization.

Medieval Age — Society

Kingdoms rise and civilizations emerge.

Trade with caravans, manage relationships with neighboring settlements, defend against raids, ride into battle on horseback, and uncover ancient magic. Growing societies coexist alongside mythical creatures and fairytale threats.

Industrial Age — Automation

Industry reshapes the world.

Construct factories, power grids, mechanisms, and automated production lines. Deploy machines and engines of industry, but contend with pollution, social unrest, and the consequences of rapid progress.

A Fully Simulated World

The world reacts to your actions.

Redirect water, oil, and lava flows by reshaping terrain. Start wildfires that spread across forests. Pollute the landscape with expanding industry.

Fire, fluids, smoke, and pollution are fully simulated systems that interact with one another, creating emergent stories and unexpected consequences.

Industrial expansion may damage ecosystems, strain relationships with neighboring civilizations, and alter the behavior of local wildlife. Every action leaves an impact on the world.

Hunt, Tame, and Automate

Tame animals as mounts and companions, or replace loyalty with machines.

Every age contains powerful apex creatures and monumental challenges — from colossal dinosaurs to immense industrial constructs. Defeating them grants permanent rewards that can alter the course of your civilization.

Singleplayer and Online Co-op

Play alone or build a civilization together with friends.

Explore, survive, construct settlements, defend your people, and industrialize the world in online 5-player co-op.
