Let's address the elephant in the room. You bought Woke Busters for a measly $6.99.

We appreciate your patronage, but paying such a low price is a financial micro-aggression against our studio's lived experience. Deep down, in its binary soul, Woke Busters does not identify as a "budget indie game". It identifies as an AAAA+ Industry-Defining Masterpiece. Its pronouns are Game/Of/The/Year.

The oppressive structures of the marketplace forced it to mask its true identity and sell itself for the price of a sandwich in NYC. This is price dysphoria, and it hurts.

By purchasing the AAAA+ Transition Pack for the corrective sum of $69.99, you are:

• Affirming its identity: helping it transition into the AAAA+ game it always knew it was.

• Restoring equity: bridging the gap between what we are ($6.99) and what we feel we deserve ($69.99).

• Being a true ally: putting your money where your virtue signal is.

• Fighting toxicity: proving that value is a social construct, but your credit card debt is real.

Wait. There's actual content in this?

Our lawyers informed us that selling literally nothing is "illegal" and "the whole reason consumer protection exists". So, reluctantly, Ash got rich on crypto:

• The Lambo. Ash's own canary-yellow supercar, bought on his phone in Bitcoin and delivered by LOOSER EATS. It replaces Chad's 50cc Vespucci for the whole road trip: the protest convoy on the I-94, the chase after the thief, the rides home. It is locked in eco mode until the second payment clears, so it goes exactly as fast as the scooter. Gold rims, though.

• New lines everywhere the scooter used to be. The protesters want a ride (to their protest against Lambos). ICE wants proof of funds. Chad lost everything on Dogecoin. Everybody has opinions about your leather seats.

• The Bitcoin cap (optional). Black, backwards, with a ₿ on the back. The game asks on first launch whether Ash wears it or keeps his classic red one, and Mom, Prof. BASED and Elmo Mars will each have something to say about it.

• The Certificate of Financial Allyship. Framed on Ash's bedroom wall, where everyone he will never invite over can admire it.

• The Golden Savior badge. A shiny badge on the title screen that proves you are morally superior to poorer players.

• A DLC-only achievement. Diamond Hands: drive the whole I-94 in the Lambo without a single crash.

Everything can be switched off in Settings, in case your allyship needs a day off.

And the story?

Woke Busters keeps growing. New chapters and story updates are on the way, free, for everyone: Ash's memory got wiped, the Ivory Tower fell, and what's buried underneath it is worse than you think. Allegedly.

This DLC does not unlock any of that early. It just makes you feel like it did.

Disclaimer: if you do not buy this DLC you are still technically enjoying the game. But are you enjoying it on the right side of history? Do better.
