Piece of Ship is a chaotic co-op for 1-4 players where survival is optional, but company loyalty is mandatory. Grab the singular wrench, patch the cracks with tape, and try to keep this bucket afloat! Remember: asking questions about the mission objective is strictly forbidden.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Piece of Ship is my idea, but I want the game to grow together with the players.

Early Access allows me to shape the game based on real feedback from people actually playing it. I want players to tell me what is missing, what feels frustrating, and what could make the game even more fun and chaotic in co-op.

This is a game built around shared panic, communication, and emergent situations, and those work best when they are tested and refined together with the community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to release the full version within approximately 6 to 8 months.

The development will be split into stages:

- Initial Early Access release
- A major update with additional mechanics and more maps

The exact timeline may change depending on feedback and development progress, but the goal is a complete and polished full release within this timeframe.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Piece of Ship is planned to include:

- More playable maps
- Additional gameplay mechanics
- Visual and polish improvements

Early Access focuses on the core experience, while the full version expands and refines it based on what works best.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and focuses on the core gameplay loop.

It includes:

- One playable submarine map
- All core mechanics required to survive a run
- Full co-op functionality
- Short, complete sessions that end in success or failure

The game is stable enough to play, but additional content, polish, and features are planned throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price of the game will increase gradually as new content and features are added during development.

Early Access offers the lowest price point, with increases planned for Major Update and the Final Release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback is a core part of development.

After each game session, players are shown a summary screen with an optional feedback button where they can share suggestions and ideas.

In addition, a dedicated Discord server will be available where players can discuss the game, report issues, and propose new mechanics. Community feedback will directly influence future updates and features.”

About This Game

Join Sub-Rosa Marine, a world leader in specialized underwater tasks. We are looking for candidates with high stress resistance, a talent for teamwork, and a refreshing lack of unnecessary curiosity. Your objective: survive a standard shift.

Wait. Did we say survive? We meant "complete."

The ocean is a volatile environment, and our vessels are... cost-effective.

  • Fire & Short Circuits: When the seawater hits the fuse box, it’s not just a blackout anymore. Expect sparks, electrical failures, and full-blown fires.

  • Life Support Crisis: The ventilation system is now prone to failure. Remember: fire consumes oxygen. If the air gets thin, fix the vents or get used to the ragdoll physics of your unconscious teammates.

  • The Screw-Driver Dilemma: Joining our "Singular Wrench" philosophy, we’ve added exactly one screwdriver to the ship. Coordination is no longer a suggestion - it’s a requirement.

  • Industrial-Grade Tape: Still your best friend.

  • The Emergency Locker: Running out of supplies? Earn "Efficiency Points" through repairs to purchase extra tape, Schnitzels, or life-saving fire extinguishers.

  • Proximity Voice Chat: Communication is key. In the depths, no one can hear you scream... unless they are standing right next to you.

This is not just a job. It is a test.

  • The Infinite Shift: For those who truly wish to prove their worth to the Corporation, the Infinite Mode awaits. How long can you maintain order before the chaos takes over?

  • Evacuation Protocol: In the final 30 seconds of a standard shift, the evacuation room opens. Reach the capsule to remain "maritime heritage."

  • The Backdoor: Some employees claim to have found credentials to external servers or "secret codes" for the evacuation computer. Sub-Rosa Marine officially discourages unauthorized access to {REDACTED}. There is no secret ending. Focus on your repairs.

  • Chaotic Co-op (1-4 Players): The more people, the higher the tension.

  • Dynamic Failure System: Fires, leaks, blackouts, and oxygen deprivation.

  • Hidden Lore: For the observant ones, the ship holds secrets that go far beyond the hull.

  • Weekly Updates: Our engineers work as hard as you do. Expect new content, fixes, and "behavioral adjustments" every single week.
