FINISH BEFORE YOU PERISH

Melt Down is a slime racing game where you are on a clock to reach the finish line. You are melting and losing weight, and you have to finish the race before you turn into a puddle.

Here is the twist: melting makes you faster. A big slime is heavy and unwieldy. A half-melted slime is light, nimble and quick. Every mass you lose you gain speed, right up until there is nothing left of you.

FEATURES

• Skill pickups - lets you use skills on yourself or on your rivals, boost pads - boosts your speed temporarily, launch pads - launches you in the air, melt zones - well it's self explanatory and traps - to stop you from completing the race.

Melt Down is made by a small team using AI tools. AI coding assistants wrote much of the game's code. They also wrote the code behind our music (made in Strudel, where music is written as code) and the Blender scripts that build our 3D models and store art. We chose what to make, checked every result, and kept only what we liked.
