為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「I believe in involving the community during the development phase of this very niche game. I don't believe there is any other game or computer-based simulation quite like it at the moment. So, whilst it may only attract a niche audience, I believe that audience is quite passionate. I welcome all feedback during the Early Access phase so that I can deliver an authentic experience in this very unique genre. 」

「I am currently planning for the Early Access phase to last anywhere between 6-12 months. This may change (either reduce or increase) if priorities/scoping for the project changes during development.」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「The full version will add additional components and mechanics to the game world, as well as having more diverse 'contracts' for the player to complete.

During the development process, I am planning on adding an additional boiler, a steam jet condenser, and many upgrade options for the pumping station itself.

Not to mention, other aspects of the game will be further refined and polished during Early Access, and included in the full version release.」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「The Early Access build will provide a solid foundation for the player to interact with the main steam engine and pumping station to complete their shifts.

They will have full control over preparing, running and maintaining the main steam engine, as well as the associated pumping systems. They will be able to receive and fulfill contract offers, order supplies, perform record-keeping and generally keep the pumping station running (or not). The player will also have access to a DC generator with auxiliary diesel engine so they can run their pumping station isolated from the power grid

While the core experience is in place, players should expect to encounter bugs and optimization issues during Early Access.」

遊戲售價在搶先體驗期間前後會有所變動嗎？

「The price of the game will be lower during the Early Access phase. I believe in rewarding early players of the game by making it more accessible and it is hoped that with ongoing community feedback during the Early Access phase, Empire Water Works will be developed to be the best it can be as we approach v1.0 release.」

在開發過程中，您打算如何與社群互動？

「Most of the community interaction I plan to have will be via the Steam discussion boards and through my social media channels such as my YouTube channel and Facebook page.」
