What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Ball-Busterz currently consists of two maps, a few basic mechanics, and a small pool of upgrade options--fewer than the number of features and amount of gameplay that generally accompany a full-release game. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Ball-Busterz will likely remain in Early Access for about a year before a wider map pool and a greater variety of upgrades becomes available. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In its full version, Ball-Busterz will feature a wider range of maps, varying in size, types of hazards, and other map elements which will make gameplay more complex. It will include more upgrades, including a new category of upgrade, which, similarly to dash upgrades, will fill a replaceable slot and be triggered by the press of a button. Aside from active abilities, more passive upgrades will be added, and to complete the upgrade expansion, an extremely rare category of upgrade will be added--the "Unfair" rarity. At least one "Unfair" upgrade will be added, providing a change in the flow of the game that could drastically shift the outcome of a game. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Ball-Busterz includes two simple maps, and exciting gameplay for 2 to 4 players, including a reasonable number of upgrades that might be presented to players between rounds. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes; after Early Access, the game will cost a small price, likely 5 dollars, and microtransactions may be implemented in the form of a shop system. No items other than the game itself will require a purchase to obtain, but may otherwise require some gameplay to earn. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Patches will be made as bugs are discovered and reported, and development will be a major focus on the UnfairEntity YouTube channel, which includes development streams and potentially, future dev logs. If the community is interested in this content, it will be produced more frequently. ”

About This Game

Ball-Busterz is a fast-paced, physics-based local multiplayer PvP game where players become speeding balls and collide head-on in the aim to become the last one standing. Ram opponents into pits and hazards, bounce off walls, chain dashes for explosive bursts of speed, and fight to keep your stock lives intact as players' movement grows increasingly unpredictable.

Each round rewards underperforming players with increasing selections of upgrades, intensifying the match and endangering players' leads. Outsmart your opponents, adapt your build, and turn the tide as the arena devolves into pure kinetic mayhem.

Win rounds, earn upgrades, and crush your opponents’ balls before they can do the same to you. Attain three rounds of unbusted balls to claim victory.
