“We are releasing in Early Access to refine the unique hardware-based weapon system and ensure the 2D action mechanics are perfectly tuned. This phase allows us to optimize the technical systems and balance the combat experience based on real-world gameplay data.”

“BOXPAST LOV3YOU is expected to remain in Early Access until late 2026 to ensure we have enough time to polish every technical aspect and complete all planned content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the full version with a wider array of high-tier hardware components for the weapon forging system, more diverse enemy types, and additional environments and stages. Our intent is to also include fully optimized performance, refined combat mechanics, and enhanced sound design to provide the most polished gameplay experience possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version features 12 playable stages with the core 2D action mechanics and the basic hardware forging system. Note: A free Demo is also available, featuring 2 preview stages to showcase the gameplay before the upcoming Game Festival.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features. Early supporters will benefit from a lower price during the Early Access phase.”

And computers? They hadn’t betrayed us yet.

Then the screens turned blue.
Filenames twisted. Photos disappeared.
Hard drives sputtered with dry, choking clicks.
Offices stalled. Panic spread.
The ILOV3YOU virus didn’t just delete files - it erased a generation’s trust.

And now, it’s back.
No email. No obvious trace.
Just a silent, smarter mutation creeping through modern systems.
No antivirus recognizes it.
No firewall can stop it.

Until… an old folder is opened.
And BOXPAST awakens - a forgotten self-defense program hastily written 26 years ago.
No AI. No UI.
Just one purpose: Protect the data. At all costs.

Key Features :

• 2D Action-Platforming:
Jump, dodge, dash, and unleash stylish combos in a vibrant 2D world - challenging, fast-paced, and always fair.

• Hardware-Driven Weapon System: Collect and assemble computer components (RAM sticks, Wi-Fi antennas, mouse clicks, hard drives, etc.) to forge your own modern arsenal.
Note: In the current Early Access version, players can access only basic components (RAM, mouse clicks, Wi-Fi antennas). Advanced components (hard drives, PC cases, etc.) will be added in future updates.

• Deep Combat Customization:
Each component alters attack speed, damage, range, or special effects. Combine them to craft the optimal weapon setup that matches your playstyle.

• Art style inspired by early-2000s technology:
The main character is inspired by early-2000s PC hardware, featuring a chunky and robust design that stands out within a hand-drawn world blending both modern and futuristic elements.

·        February 2026: Featured in Steam Next Fest.

·        March 2026: Early Access Launch.
