What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe the best games are created in collaboration with players. We are releasing "RAZE" in Early Access to develop the game openly, in full view of the community. Your close attention, feedback, and direct participation are critically important to us. We want to build a lively and engaged community around the game from the very start, whose opinions will directly shape the project's development.

Our primary goal is to create a truly unique and engaging product that meets the expectations and desires of our players. Specific objectives for the Early Access period are:

Gathering Feedback and Balancing:
— We want to listen to your opinions on gameplay, balance, controls, and overall atmosphere. The community is the foundation, and we will actively use your feedback and suggestions to fine-tune the core game experience.

Expanding Content:
— Based on your preferences, we plan to add new content: levels, mechanics, abilities, enemies, and items.

Technical Polishing:
— The broad Early Access audience will help us identify and fix bugs that escaped our internal testing, as well as optimize the game for various computer configurations.

Building the Game Together:
— We view Early Access not as selling an unfinished product, but as an opportunity to walk the entire path with you—from a raw but promising version to a polished and complete release.

We are ready for the marathon of long-term work. We will be constantly available, carefully study all your ideas, and consistently bring "RAZE" to a final, high-quality state.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Over the course of six months to a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main planned areas of development are:

Significant Content Expansion:
— We plan to add substantially more diverse content. This includes new locations with unique atmospheres, new enemies, as well as a wide range of items that will unlock new possibilities.

Enhancement of the Game's Core:
— Based on community feedback, we plan to introduce new gameplay mechanics. This may involve developing character progression systems, world interaction systems, as well as adding new game modes to diversify the gameplay experience.

Narrative:
— In the full version, we plan to more fully reveal the world and story of the "RAZE" universe.

It is important to note that the specific final set of features and content will be shaped through close dialogue with our community. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is in an early, but already playable version, with many locations, enemies and items already available, and most importantly, a stable foundation for further development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There are no plans to increase prices. We plan to maintain the original price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to maintain constant and active communication with people interested in our game. There will be ongoing dialogue on our resources and Steam resources. The game creator will conduct YouTube broadcasts. We would be happy if you join our community and help make this game better, because we plan not just to make a game, but to make it together with the players.”

About This Game

«RAZE» is an action roguelike where everything revolves around randomness. You play as a fearless cat warrior, one of the guardians of the Shadow World and a member of the legendary feline unit «BLACKWATCH». Your main goal is to stop the evil that was born in your dimension before everything spirals out of control.

One of the gods of the Shadow World steals an ancient and powerful artifact called «Mask of Shadows» and uses it to unleash darkness. Having gained new powers, he seeks to destroy the Shadow World, turn it into hell, and then destroy the World of Light. Only you, the fighters of «BLACKWATCH», can stand against him and strike back.

  • Fight hordes of enemies in endless endurance battles, alone or in co-op. Thousands of enemies await you, ready to be destroyed with all kinds of weapons, from the good old double-barreled shotgun to complete absurdity like lasers shooting from your eyes.

  • Do not just fight, compete. «RAZE» is not just a single-player roguelike, but an online roguelike with a ranking and title system. Every match will earn you rating points and move you higher in the global leaderboard.

  • Upgrade not only your cat but also his faithful «ShadowGun». The game features hundreds of randomly dropped items that let you transform your fighter and weapon beyond recognition.

  • Die and rise again. Every new match unlocks more items and possible combinations. Alternative routes will also be generated during each match, giving you different paths to follow.
