Why Early Access?

“As a solo developer I want to have immediate feedback from the community so that I know I am taking the game in the right direction.

The main goal of Industrial Legion is to have players with differing play styles and desires to come together to form a cohesive team, sometimes players prefer first person shooters, some players prefer real time strategy, some players prefer city builders, but as for myself I believe that most players would rather play a game with their friends, I personally have had a hard time finding games that would combine these aspects in a cohesive and fun way and I plan to bridge that gap.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to have the game be in early access for 2 years”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to have the current 2 roles (Front Line and Commander) to be more intuitive and easier to understand and play by improving the UI and adding several needed quality of life additions.

For Front Line I also plan on having a more in depth character customization, weapons and with a focus on smooth and responsiveness as well as the immersive feel of being part of something larger than oneself.

For the Commander, I plan on having more fine control over the units that they control, better communication with the Front Line players to allow for better decision making on the front line players part and a stronger emphasis on logistics to make sure their units are well supplied

I also plan on the addition of another role called the Industrial role and is planned be able to create cities, factories and logistics that provide the war material as requested by the Commander”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In it's current state, the roles of Front Line and Commander are functional and not yet completely polished.

For the Front Line role, players have access to several weapons, objective system, call in system, squad management and simple character customization.

For the Commander role, players are able to control their forces, issue objectives to Front Line players, fill call ins made by the Front Line players, formation of weapon groups that allow AI to control the same static weaponry as the Front Line players.

The dedicated server is also available, in windows and linux builds so that players can create their own servers”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, I am planning on raising the price as new content and features are added”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players will be able to get involved by joining in on the public Discord server and through the Steam forums, this will allow for the community to voice their suggestions and raise bugs. I'll be on most of the time so that I can see what the community at large is up to.”
