An utopic sci-fi car racing game with effect-portals on mars (and other places). One can choose 3 game types (Death Match/Classic Race/Capture the Flag), or just stroll around in an infinite procedural world. The whole scene +cars are made 100% from math and code, no textures, no models

About This Game

Is there life on mars? ...not sure ...but hey: "There's cars on mars!"

So let those wheels squeal and spit some mars-gravel...

This is an utopic racing game situated on mars and other phantastic and odd worlds with portals leading to different visual styles. Race through ballpoint- and pencil-worlds, or even more abstract shadings.

The whole game is generated out of pure math - All the scenes and also the cars are algorithmically constructed.

So the terrain is (...unlike actual mars) pretty infinite (depending on the scene), and yet the whole thing needs less then 10MB on disk - ...not that it matters these days ;-).

There are 3  game modes:

  • Death Match

  • Race

  • Capture the Flag

Death Match:

Self explanatory: Shoot Your opponents with a roof-mounted gun. Be the first to reach a certain number of frags.

Race:

A Round Course through a certain number of gates - Be the first one to finish 1 to 10 rounds.

Capture the Flag:

Be the first one to capture the next flag, but there's a catch:

You have to get through the proper effect-portal to to capture the flag shaded in a certain effect.

And when your shot hits a competitor you change its effect - so you need to reach the flag without being shot.

That gives another competitive fun-level and adds another dimension to the well-known Capture-The-Flag logic.

All the games can be played multi-player online (or even locally in Split-Screen) with a maximum of 10 players in total (for now)

Different effect  scenes - for now: Ink sketch, Voxel graphics, Pencil Drawings, Ballpoint drawings.

Warning

The game contains strong contrasts and drastic and fast brightness changes (flashing lights). So it might not be suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions. Player discretion is advised.
