About This Game

Vocab Clash is a VR immersive learning tool that deeply integrates vocabulary learning with full-body movement. It supports both English learning and Chinese learning, and includes three question types: image-based questions, video-based questions, and fill-in-the-blank questions. Through an intuitive “understand first, then answer with your body” mechanism, learners build direct “concept–vocabulary” neural connections across multiple motion-based scenarios such as boxing, darts, table tennis, adventure escape levels, and AI-powered real-time voice role-play.

Detailed Description

Vocab Clash completely redefines the logic of vocabulary learning: understand first, then respond physically.

This system covers nearly 8,000 English words for TOEFL and IELTS, as well as nearly 8,000 Chinese vocabulary entries. Each entry includes a dedicated image and contextual example sentence.

Unlike traditional vocabulary memorization tools, the game does not present translations or dictionary definitions. Instead, the meaning of each word is conveyed in three ways:

Image Questions: Observe purely visual images and understand the concept they express.

Video Questions: Watch short video clips and grasp the meaning of words in dynamic scenarios.

Fill-in-the-Blank Questions: Complete missing vocabulary based on context within full sentences.

You need to quickly understand the meaning, much like solving a visual riddle, and then react. But the key difference is that your “selection” is not made by pressing a button — it is made through full-body movement:

In the boxing arena, punch the correct answer.

At the shooting range, throw darts to hit the target option.

At the table tennis table, swing the paddle and hit the ball toward the corresponding answer.

In adventure levels, answer questions to seal monsters while dodging their pursuit and responding at high speed.

Compete against AI opponents in real-time battles to test vocabulary reaction speed.

Every round is a real calorie-burning session. Body movement instantly combines with visual and contextual understanding, helping vocabulary become internalized as an intuitive response.

Dual-Language Learning Tracks

Vocab Clash supports not only Chinese native speakers learning English, but also English native speakers learning Chinese. You can switch learning directions at any time from the Game Home screen:

Learn English: The target vocabulary is English, suitable for native speakers of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

Learn Chinese: The target vocabulary is Chinese, suitable for native speakers of English, Korean, and Japanese.

The interface also supports four languages: Chinese, English, Korean, and Japanese. No matter where you are from, Vocab Clash can guide you into learning using a language you are familiar with.

Speaking Practice Mode: Call Center

This is Vocab Clash’s most innovative mode: you are no longer answering multiple-choice questions — you are speaking.

You play the role of an English-speaking customer service representative for an OTA hotel booking platform. The phone rings. A guest wants to cancel a reservation for various reasons, and you need to communicate with them entirely in English. After understanding the situation, you pick up a second phone and call the hotel to explain the reason and complete the cancellation process. The entire experience is powered by real-time AI voice conversation, with the AI playing both the guest and the hotel representative, responding instantly based on what you say.

Bilingual prompts are displayed on the screen to guide the conversation, helping you move forward without getting stuck. Even better, words you answered incorrectly in other modes are automatically woven into the dialogue storyline: your “guest” may need to cancel due to a “catastrophic accident” or be unable to check in because of an “unprecedented work conflict.” The words you have learned are no longer a memory burden — they become material for spontaneous expression.

Wrong-Answer Review Loop: The More You Practice, the More Accurate You Become

The system continuously tracks your performance in each learning track through an adaptive question-selection algorithm and automatically builds a personalized wrong-answer notebook. Each time you enter a level, the vocabulary you need to review is prioritized: it appears repeatedly in media-based questions, is reinforced again in fill-in-the-blank questions, and is integrated into AI dialogue scripts in speaking mode. Listening, speaking, reading, spelling, and contextual completion form a multidimensional reinforcement loop until the vocabulary is truly mastered.

Achievements and Ranks

From Bronze to Mythic, five rank badges mark your vocabulary growth journey. Each learning track is tracked independently, including accumulated vocabulary size, answer accuracy, and number of review attempts. Every data point helps push you toward a higher rank.

Core Feature Summary

Text-free visual association + contextual fill-in-the-blank: Image and video questions trigger intuitive understanding, while fill-in-the-blank questions test mastery within real sentences. The three question types complement one another, bypassing translation and connecting directly to concepts.

Motion-based answering mechanism: Boxing, darts, table tennis, dodging, and escape — use body memory instead of mouse clicks. Learning becomes exercise.

Dual-language learning tracks: Learn English or Learn Chinese, supported by Chinese, English, Korean, and Japanese interface languages, covering learners from different native-language backgrounds.

AI real-time speaking dialogue: Role-play as a customer service representative and conduct full-English conversations with AI, with incorrect vocabulary automatically woven into the dialogue storyline.

Adaptive wrong-answer system: Intelligently tracks weak vocabulary, pushes targeted review across modes, and creates a closed-loop improvement process.

Closed-loop learning flow: Observe through images or text → understand by guessing meaning or completing context → act through motion-based selection or spoken expression → receive feedback through instant judgment and rank progression — all within a fully immersive VR experience.
