Welcome to Elkcrest Island

This remote island sits in the wild north and provides habitats for many of North America’s most popular game species. This isolated and sparsely populated hunting ground is also inhabited by a recent addition, Merriam’s wild turkeys, and a shy predator that debuts in Way of the Hunter: the North American cougar.

Explore the hills and mountains to get a breathtaking overview and spot all big game, like moose, elk, Bighorn sheep, Wood bison, Sitka deer, caribou and Kodiak bear. Or enjoy the beautiful lakes and plains to look for different kinds of birds, like Wild duck, Surf scoter, pheasants and Lesser scaup. Gray wolf and Red fox also roam Elkcrest Island, and if you look closely, you may discover Snowshoe hares.
