About This Demo

《Hyperthymesia》 is a first-person puzzle + role-playing game where you’ll encounter all kinds of bizarre phenomena: a parking lot that warps at random, a basement that shouldn’t exist, and even a girl buried deep in your own memories—she’s been waiting for you for a long time. Since you’re trapped in this uncannily vivid dream… why not set aside the chaos of reality, just for now?

(Note: This demo features unique sound effects in select scenes, but no soundtrack yet. Approximate playtime: 15–25 minutes.)

I am dreaming, having an incredibly clear dream. Perhaps to escape reality, after all, I can have everything in my dreams, but in reality, I never even have time. To be precise, time in reality does not belong to me, time in dreams will always belong to me.

... lucid dreams? Can I control my dreams?

Through an opportunity that I couldn't even explain, I came to realize the concept of lucid dreaming, which is knowing that I am dreaming and controlling what happens in the dream. Afterwards, I seemed to be possessed and wanted to experience lucid dreaming. The closest time I realized I was dreaming was when I opened my eyes. It was very dark around me, and I had never felt my room so dark before I have never truly entered a lucid dream, not even once.

Until I learned about an instrument called the Dream Therapy Device, which can help me have lucid dreams, I customized an instrument in the physical store of the Dream Therapy Device. After a few weeks, I finally got the customized instrument .....

I don't have a basement at home, I've never had one, and it's impossible to have one. I'm starting to feel a little uneasy. Everything did not develop as I expected, and I began to appear in strange scenes time and time again, all of which were scenes I had dreamed of before.

I met a person who called herself Yomogi. She was in my mind and wanted to help me get out of here .....
