Why Early Access?

“BoomBox Remastered is a major rebuild shaped by years of community feedback. Early Access allows us to iterate openly with players while refining the new drumming system, custom songs experience, and performance improvements. Our goal is to use community input to guide what feels good, what needs improvement, and what direction the game should grow in. Rhythm games evolve best when players are involved early, and Early Access gives us the flexibility to do that responsibly.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don’t have a fixed timeline. We plan to remain in Early Access until the core experience feels polished, stable, and reflects what our community expects. The duration will depend on feedback, feature refinement, and testing needs.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand on the current features based on community input. This may include more environments, more creator tools, additional polish, further performance improvements, and community-driven refinements. Our direction will evolve together with players, so we prefer not to commit to specific features or timelines.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“BoomBox Remastered includes the rebuilt drumming gameplay, new environments, new lighting and UI, in-game custom songs, and early versions of key systems that we expect to refine throughout Early Access. Performance, gameplay feel, and usability will continue improving with community feedback. We already have Multiplayer systems implemented, but might not be able to launch polished Multiplayer right away, we will need additional QA to make sure it feels great for players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to launch Early Access at a lower price to thank early supporters. As the game grows with new content and improvements, we may gradually increase the price. However, final pricing decisions have not been made.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our community has always been the heart of BoomBox. We plan to use Steam discussions, Discord, and in-game feedback tools to gather ideas, identify issues, and guide improvements. Community suggestions heavily influence our priorities, and Early Access helps us refine gameplay with real player input.”
