About This Game

EvilTrap: Prologue is a standalone psychological-horror experience that introduces the world, tone, and terror behind the upcoming full game.

This short chapter invites you into a sinister village that wants to keep you trapped forever. The environment shifts as you move, and the atmosphere tightens with every step. This prologue opens the door to an evil that you thought had ended... but it is just the beginning.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • An Oppressive Atmosphere: The environment is built to feel heavy and sinister as you explore the village.

  • Micro-scares & Jumpscares: Using the same logic from my previous game, Horror Story: Hallowseed, this prologue features a mix of scripted moments and dynamic events to keep you on edge.

  • The Constant Fear System: Experience a groundbreaking sensory technology that transcends traditional sound design.

  • Physiological Immersion: Unlike standard horror games, EvilTrap utilizes a proprietary system that triggers instinctive biological responses, simulating the feeling of being watched.

  • Dynamic Stress Feedback: Feel your own heart rate reflected in the world around you. The environment's "pulse" accelerates as your panic rises, blurring the line between the game and reality.

  • Mystery First: I have carefully hidden the plot to avoid spoilers. You will experience a fraction of the mechanics and story, keeping the full nightmare in total secrecy while giving you a glimpse of the entities involved.

  • A Focused Experience: A short, intense horror atmosphere designed to be completed in one sitting. Easy and simple, just to give you a free taste of what is to come.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This is a one-man project. This prologue is a free entry point to the EvilTrap universe, intended to showcase the mood of the game, not to deliver a full-length AAA experience. If you enjoy atmospheric indie horror with a personal touch and a deep respect for the mystery, you are in the right place.

  • 100% Solo Dev: No AI-generated content. I code and develop everything myself. This is a one-man project from start to finish.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

We used AI tools to assist in the composition and post-processing of the Store Page Capsule Art. The imagery is based on original 3D character models created by the developer. The AI was used to enhance the style of the render, which was then manually edited and finalized in Photoshop.
