Why Early Access?

“We are releasing Five Dice in Early Access because the core gameplay loop is already playable, but we want community feedback to help us improve balance, progression, difficulty tuning, and overall pacing before full release. As a roguelike deckbuilding game built around dice combinations, small changes can have a big impact on strategy and replayability, so player feedback is especially important for refining the experience. During Early Access, we plan to continue updating the game, respond to player feedback, and steadily improve the game toward a more complete full version.”

“This game will be EA for 2-3 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Five Dice to include more content, more progression depth, and more polish than the Early Access version. Our current goals include expanding challenge-based content, improving balance across classes, skills, and artifacts, adding more variety to runs, and improving overall UX and quality-of-life features. We are also considering additional systems such as more advanced challenge options and mod-related tools if development goes as planned. Specific priorities may change based on community feedback during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is already playable and includes the main core systems of Five Dice. Players can currently experience the dice-based combat and map progression loop, play 3 classes, and build strategies using 100+ skills, 50+ artifacts, 50+ status effects, and 50+ monsters. The game already represents the core vision of the project, but it still needs additional content, more balancing, and further polish before we consider it complete. Players should expect ongoing improvements and iteration throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Because additional playable content will be provided during Early Access, we plan to increase the price by 10% when Early Access ends.”
