About This Game

The fur trade is dying, but the Great Plains still stretch beyond the horizon. In 1836, lead a small party of mountain men through a changing frontier where every fight can turn on a single decision.

A dangerous frontier

The plains are beautiful, but life here is uncertain. When danger finds your party, the choices you make together can shape what comes next.

Three mountain men

Bruce is a weathered trapper who has spent a lifetime on the plains. Jack is a restless voyageur driven by an old grudge. Yellow Feather is a watchful hunter, at home in the wilderness. They each bring their own history to the journey.

Your words and decisions shape how the story unfolds, and the journey can end in more than one way.

Between fights

Explore in real time on foot, horseback, or by canoe. Hunt, make camp, and meet the people holding on at forts and trading posts. The plains offer room to roam, but the fur trade’s end is closing in on everyone who calls them home.

The open plains are being divided into claims, bought up and fenced. As the old ways fade, the land that once seemed endless grows smaller by the day.

Little Frontier is a solo project, made from a love of history, the outdoors, and the old Westerns I watched with my dad as a kid. Those films made the frontier feel vast and full of possibility. I wanted to hold on to that feeling and make a small world of my own for others to explore.
