About This Game

You wear the crown, and that's where the trouble starts. Your court lies to you, your mages are useless, your priests are worse, and the clock is against you. In the morning you hand down justice. Then you walk out the gate yourself, and ruling turns into an action RPG: you, your sword and everything that's waiting for you out there. Welcome to the job.

Release, Gold Fine or Dungeon?

Every morning people line up before your throne, and every one of them has a good excuse. A gold fine fills your treasury. Let someone walk and they'll be back before you one day, only bolder. And whoever lands in the dungeon is far from finished: you send them on a dangerous adventure or off to hard labor. The people, the Church and the mages remember every verdict, and the bill rarely comes right away.

Other Kings Send Their Men. You Go.

Beyond the gate lies a realm that is yours and that you barely know. A misty forest full of ruins. A bandit camp. A pirate ship in the middle of the desert. A smoking volcano.

Out here, the crown won't help you. What helps is your shield, a quick dodge and a well-timed strike. And one day you'll stand in the arena, facing something far bigger than you. It's not the biggest thing waiting for you.

Church or Mages?

Both want you, and you can only pick one side. The Church teaches you the bow, the mages teach you fire. What one teaches you, the other denies you forever, and your story takes a different path.

Gold Is Your Life

Soldiers, mercenaries, walls, dragons: everything has a price. You send a dragon to distant lands for a hefty sum of gold, and only when it returns do you find out what it brings back.

Your realm doesn't sleep at night. One night skeletons attack the walls, another the volcano wakes, and in the morning the bill hits your treasury. If the treasury is empty, your reign is over.

You Won't Rule Forever

Your king grows old. Father an heir while you still can, or it all ends with you. Whether your heir inherits a strong realm or a heap of rubble is your call, and you make it long before then. Your reign ends. Your dynasty doesn't have to.
