Sunflowers, wind chimes, grilled corn… Straw hats, mosquito coils, a sloping road overlooking the sea. In a quiet village where the sound of waves is its only claim to fame, a mysterious love story quietly took shape— a summer both long and fleeting, gone before you realize it.

About This Game

■ About

CIRCUS’s 4th title — a visual novel woven from the essence of “summer.”

Sunflowers swaying in the breeze.
Wind chimes singing softly.
The smell of grilled corn drifting through the air.

Straw hats, mosquito coils, a sloping road overlooking the sea…

In a quiet village where the sound of waves is its only claim to fame,
a mysterious love story took place—
a long yet fleeting tale of summer.

■ Story

Nestled between the mountains and the sea lies Tokiwa Village
a place named for “unchanging eternity.”
But even here, summer arrives all the same.

One day, a nameless girl runs through the village,
the bell on her hat chiming as she passes.
At that moment, the red threads of fate—never meant to cross—begin to entwine.

What follows is a collection of intertwining summer stories.

Chapter 1 — Izuki Minase / Sayo Minase

Returning with his mother to his childhood home in Tokiwa Village,
Akira Kazama unexpectedly reunites with Izuki Minase at a local shrine—
an encounter that stirs memories long forgotten.

Izuki, her twin sister Sayo, and Akira…
Their meeting, their parting—
and a destiny where past and present slowly overlap.

Chapter 2 — Sayaka Shirakawa / Mie Wakabayashi

Sayaka Shirakawa is the daughter of a reclusive painter,
a man the villagers call eccentric and avoid.

Her only joy is painting beside Souji Kamishiro,
the one person she can truly open her heart to.

Her rebellion against her father,
her longing for her late mother,
her growing feelings for Souji…

Their summer unfolds like a painting on a once-blank canvas,
bright as the blooming sunflowers around them.

Chapter 3 — Akane Masaki / Toko Kyoya

Yoshikazu Masaki begins sensing an uncanny strangeness
in his everyday life with his girlfriend, Toko Kyoya.

It is a feeling somehow tied to his younger sister, Akane.

As he undergoes counseling, this subtle discomfort
grows into something darker—
a shadow stretching across his heart.

Akane, Toko, Yoshikazu…
Their relationships drift toward an unforeseen conclusion.

Chapter 4 — The Nameless Girl / Chitose Inaba

Wishing to escape the oppressive traditions of his old family,
Hiroshi Inaba once fled from home.

But on the night of Tanabata, upon hearing of his father’s worsening condition,
he returns to his birthplace—Tokiwa Village.

There, he meets a strange girl clutching a black stuffed toy.
Dressed entirely in black, from her hat to her clothes,
the girl cannot remember even her own name.

A quiet encounter on a summer night…
and the beginning of another story.
