Tales is updated to version 1.0.3

Hi there! A small update today of roughly 15mb to version 1.0.3, as the game has been rebuilt through the latest version of AGS 3.4.1.

PREVIOUSLY SAVED GAMES ARE AFFECTED. PLEASE SEE BELOW!

This allows for additional settings in Winsetup (right click on Tales in Library and click Setup) that allow for better scaling for higher resolution monitors. You may need to adjust the settings to work appropriately for your PC. Scaling should be set to "Nearest Neighbor" to retain the original pixel look and feel (without anti-aliasing).

:talesthor: Better graphics options for HD/high-res monitors

:talesthor: Additional graphics drivers (OpenGL, Software renderer)

:talesthor: Alt+Tab to enter/exit fullscreen or windowed mode

:talesthor: Updated steam_api.dll to fix starting problems with SetAchievement^1 error.

Unfortunately this rebuild means previous Save Games are not compatible. To resume playing previously saved games, you will need to switch to the Merlin branch with the previous version 1.0.2. To do so, right click Tales in your Library, select Properties and then Betas. Choose "Merlin" from the drop-down list and wait for the small update to complete.

Players starting a new game will not be affected. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we're sure the new graphics options (and additional advanced settings) will improve the player experience from here on. No changes have been made to the game itself.

Regards, Screen 7

4/5 – Adventure Gamers

“Tales is a great game. The puzzles are both challenging and fun. The different environments keep the game interesting as the main character travels from book to book.”
8/10 – OpNoobs

“Tales is a clear recommendation for all point-and-click friends. An interesting story, exciting gameplay and challenging puzzles hide behind a slightly too typical sounding title.”
8.1/10 – Testiversum
