Miksi Early Access?

Afterdepth began as a personal project about isolation, survival, and persistence in a collapsing world.
The current version already includes the core gameplay loop — mining, technical progression, and oxygen management — but the underground world is still expanding.
Early Access allows players to experience this growth, sharing feedback and ideas about balance, pacing, and exploration.
We aim to build this world organically, together with the community.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We currently expect to remain in Early Access for several months.
There is no strict deadline — updates will come gradually as new content, improvements, and polish are ready.
The goal is to expand the game naturally without rushing features.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

Our plan is for the full version to potentially include these core expansions:

* We aim to deliver a deeper Crafting System with advanced recipes and equipment and a creative mode;
* We plan to integrate Base Management and Creation elements, allowing players to build and fortify their underground operations;
* We intend to expand Exploration with new hazardous biomes and unique resource layers;
* We plan to deliver an expanded narrative, aiming to reveal the true purpose of the Research Centers;
* Full support for achievements, additional translations, and an optional challenge mode.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current version is fully playable.
It already features the main gameplay loop — mining, repairing, upgrading, and oxygen progression — along with the first explorable areas and survival mechanics.
New content and narrative expansions will be introduced in upcoming updates.

We plan to adjust the price gradually as the game evolves and new content is added.
The current version already offers the full gameplay loop, but the price will reflect the project’s growth as the underground world expands and the experience moves closer to the final version.

We want the community to be part of Afterdepth's evolution from the very beginning. Players will be able to share feedback directly through Discord and the Steam Community, helping refine pacing, balance, and new progression ideas.
