Myths from the Maw is a dark fantasy roguelike tactical RPG where sin corrupts your mercenaries. Can you keep them from succumbing to sin?

Myths from the Maw has you lead mercenaries into the Maw, a colossal starfallen fortress to battle rival warbands, eldritch horrors, and corruption itself. Alien gods offer salvation, for a blood sacrifice. But every bargain, temptation, and tough choice corrupts your mercenaries' souls, and the sins they carry shape who, or what, they become.

Blood Sacrifice

Sacrifice HP at altars to alien gods inspired by the deadly sins to claim Bloodmarks that empower your mercenaries for that expedition.

Combine Bloodmarks from different gods to build powerful synergies, each offering their own set of Bloodmarks themed around a sin. Unlock dozens of Bloodmarks like Wrathful Onslaught and Voracious Hunger that enhance your skills with new (un)godly effects.

Fill the Bloodthirst Meter by dealing damage in battle. Once full, your mercenaries enter a frenzy that amplifies their Bloodmarked powers.

Tactical Combat

Master the Battle Clock, where each action costs time. Strike hard now, or act fast and strike again before your foes, every second counts.

Knock enemies into hazards like mechanical saws, sentient tentacles, exploding bulbs, and other bloodthirsty terrors.

Inflict deadly conditions like burn, bleed, and poison to wear down foes, blind them so their attacks miss, and bless allies to turn the tide.

Corruption System

Reap the consequences of sin, which makes mercenaries act out in narrative events, campsite actions, and, most crucially, battles. Make tough choices where tempting rewards come at the cost of corrupting your mercenaries, whether at the altar or in story events.

But beware, mercenaries who fall to sin abandon you to join the Cult of the Maw. Face them on later expeditions to claim vengeance for their betrayal.
