Each run begins with one of three starting duos — Inquisition, Frontier, or Tribal.
Your opening pair defines your early abilities, combat tempo, and difficulty curve.

As the journey unfolds, you may recruit up to two additional heroes, forming a four-person squad.

The full game features six unique heroes, each with a distinct role, tone, and two Combat Styles that fundamentally change how they fight.

Witchland’s combat revolves around short, lethal exchanges on a hex battlefield.

Each hero can switch between two contrasting styles, such as:

• precise ranged shots vs. close-range assassinations

• heavy hammer strikes vs. protective rituals

• disciplined human form vs. unleashed feral form

Switching styles alters your action economy, threat profile, and the tactical rhythm of your team.

🜄 Token System — Build Through Decisions, Not Stats

After each victory, you select one token that permanently evolves a hero.

All progression is expressed through tokens, divided into four functional types:

• Ability Tokens — unlock entirely new active abilities

• Modifier Tokens — transform existing abilities with new mechanics

• Positioning Tokens — reward adjacency and spatial play

• Utility Tokens — provide situational advantages and momentum

Tokens introduce small rules with major tactical impact: execution triggers, reaction attacks, altered ability patterns, and powerful positional synergies.

Your strength grows through choices — not inflated numbers.
