Miksi Early Access?

We’re releasing in Early Access to develop the game together with the community. Player feedback helps us improve balance, pacing, online stability, and overall polish while we continue expanding the experience.

We don’t have an exact end date yet. Our current estimate is 2–3 years, but it may change depending on development progress and community feedback.

The full version is planned to be a more polished and stable experience overall. This may include improvements to performance, online stability, UI/UX, balance, and accessibility based on development progress and community feedback.

The game is currently playable and features the core online cooperative multiplayer experience. You can play with up to 4 players, answer questions across multiple subjects, and use unique character abilities to survive each run. We are actively improving performance, UI, and online stability.

Yes. The Early Access price will be lower than the full 1.0 release. As we ship major updates and the game becomes more complete, we plan to gradually increase the base price toward full release. The exact timing/amount may vary by region, and we’ll communicate any changes in advance.

Four friends are about to go their separate ways after graduating from high school.
As a final farewell, they decide to test an urban legend:

"Spending New Year’s Eve at school opens a spiritual portal".

But the legend is real.

Survive the exams by truly studying — your answers and choices will determine the fate of the group.
A unique visual novel experience where intelligence and strategy are your greatest weapons.

You have only one minute to answer.

Explore the room.
Search for books with hints.

# Privacy Policy - The New Year's School

**MonkiFlip Studios** ("we", "us", or "the Developer") is committed to protecting the privacy of our players. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled within **The New Year's School**.

### 1. Information Collected via Steam
The New Year's School is distributed through the Steam platform. As such, we do not directly collect or store your financial information or personal registration data. Steam provides us with limited information necessary for the game to function, such as:
* Your **SteamID** (to manage achievements and game progress).
* Your **Public Profile Name** (to identify you in multiplayer sessions).

### 2. No Internal Data Collection
We value your privacy. **The New Year's School does not perform any internal data collection.**
* We do not use third-party analytics (such as GameAnalytics or Unity Analytics).
* We do not collect telemetry or behavioral data.
* We do not automatically collect or send error logs or crash reports to our own servers.

### 3. Online Connectivity (P2P and VoIP)
The game features multiplayer functionality using **Peer-to-Peer (P2P)** technology.
* **IP Addresses:** To establish a direct connection between players, your IP address may be visible to other players (the "host" or other peers) in your game session. We do not store or track these IP addresses on any external database.
* **Voice and Text Communication:** The game offers real-time Voice over IP (VoIP) and text chat. These communications are transient and occur directly between players. Monki Flip does not record, monitor, or store your voice or text conversations.

### 4. Third-Party Services and Social Media
If you choose to join our **Official Discord Server**, please be aware that Discord has its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Any information you share on Discord is subject to their policies, not ours.

### 5. Data Retention and Security
Your game progress (Save Files) is stored locally on your device and may be synced via **Steam Cloud**. Since we do not maintain a private server or database for player accounts, we do not retain your personal data outside of the Steam ecosystem.

### 6. Your Rights
Under regulations such as the GDPR (Europe) and LGPD (Brazil), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Since your data is primarily managed by Steam, most requests regarding data access or deletion should be directed to **Steam Support**.
