About This Game Forbidden Fable: [WHYES: Smile] is a first-person psychological horror game that begins with death. A bizarre place without a single line of dialogue. In a world with its own order, perhaps you are an outsider who cannot understand. If you wish to escape this world, a 'price' must be paid. Your choices become your 'history'—your one and only 'precedent' in this world.

Welcome to a new world, one without human emotions or standards.

You are left alone in an abandoned world. A world without human language, letters, or even death. The one who enters must learn on their own, through judgment and choice.

You are not alone here. The world is filled with remnants of sorrow from those who arrived first, and beings who refuse to be understood. This world, perhaps, is a sad one. Hold your breath, understand them, and sometimes... become one with them,

and create a 'precedent' of [Understanding] that only you can.

The life and actions of this world are not human common sense. Therefore, every choice made while learning this world comes with a price, and it is a toll you alone must bear. Your choices are irreversible, and will be recorded in the world as your own unique story.
