What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“MonCraft 199X is a large creature-collecting survival crafting game with interconnected systems including monster progression, resource harvesting, base building, exploration, combat, and multiplayer functionality. Early Access allows us to gather player feedback on game balance, progression pacing, monster acquisition rates, crafting progression, and multiplayer stability while continuing development. Community feedback will directly influence feature prioritization, quality-of-life improvements, and endgame content leading up to the full 1.0 release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect MonCraft 199X to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 months. This timeline may change based on community feedback, development progress, and feature testing requirements. Our goal is to release regular content updates throughout Early Access while expanding the game's world, monster roster, progression systems, multiplayer features, and endgame content before the full 1.0 launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core gameplay loop, monster collection systems, crafting progression, base building, exploration, combat, and multiplayer functionality.

Without giving specifics, the keyword is "MORE." More Monsters, more skills, more items, more badges, more missions, more music, story, secrets, and love.

NOTE: The exact scope may evolve based on community feedback and development priorities.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version contains the complete core gameplay experience including monster collection, resource harvesting, crafting, building, exploration, combat, progression systems, multiplayer support, and multiple regions to explore. Players can capture and utilize monsters for resource production, gather materials, construct bases, craft equipment, and progress through the game's existing content.
While fully playable, players may encounter bugs, balance changes, incomplete features, placeholder content, and systems that will continue to evolve throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to increase the price when MonCraft 199X leaves Early Access and reaches full 1.0 release. Players who purchase the game during Early Access will receive all future updates leading to launch. Any pricing changes will be communicated in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play a significant role throughout the remainder of development. We actively monitor our Discord server, Steam Discussions, social media channels, bug reports, and player surveys. Feedback regarding game balance, progression, monster design, quality-of-life features, multiplayer functionality, and new content will help shape development priorities. We also plan to share development updates and roadmap progress regularly so players can follow the evolution of the game during Early Access.”

The range of exploration grows as you catch Mon with unique traversal skills, learn new crafting recipes, and collect materials. Be on the lookout for chests with randomly generated equipment!

The Mon

Not long after the "Y2Katastrophe" hit, animals went extinct. Reports of Mon with fantastical abilities started manifesting in their place. Members of the Trainer's Guild possess an endless thirst for knowledge. As you scan, collect, and live with Mon, turn in that data for rewards!

Not every creature is hostile. Some can become loyal companions, powerful battle partners, mounts, workers, or protectors for your base. The choice is yours!

Collectors, battlers, breeders, and explorers will all discover different reasons to hunt for the rarest creatures in the world...and perhaps even Shiny variants.

Your Mission
