What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a solo dev working on an ambitious project, I rely heavily on community feedback to guide the game's direction and avoid tunnel vision.

Although I have a strong foundation for what Multiverse Idle will be, Early Access provides an opportunity for players to tell me whether or not a new feature is actually fun, how much they like / dislike the new characters, and what changes could make the game even better.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“EA duration depends on the final list of content, but I estimate it will take at least 8 months before a 1.0 will be available with the polish, quality, and features that I'm currently aiming for.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The beginning gameplay loop is available now with: training and upgrades, battling, inventory / artifacts, multiple maps and enemies, ally system, and player skills.

For the full version, I plan to add more content (new maps, enemies, allies, skills, artifacts) as well as new features (including a prestige system with meta-bonuses, achievements, and different battle modes).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current loop lets players:
-Train to improve stats and secondary stats
-Choose from multiple areas to battle enemies and earn currency / artifacts
-Unlock and upgrade: combat skills, new ways to train, automation features, passive bonuses
-Recruit and upgrade allies, each with their own bonuses and unique in-battle benefits”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be free to play and will remain so on full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Discord and the Steam forums will be the two major channels for me to interact with players.

As a solo dev, I may not have the ability to reply to every single comment, but I'm always keeping an eye on the community and appreciate all feedback and suggestions. ”

About This Game

Multiverse Idle is an idler / incremental / creature-collector game that combines the satisfaction of idle progression with stat customization and strategic team-building and auto-battling.

Train your stats, pick your skills, collect and upgrade powerful allies, then push through ever-tougher enemies across countless unique worlds in the multiverse.

START FROM ZERO

Every legend begins with a single stat point. Train diligently, and watch your power rise - slowly, but surely.

BUILD YOUR TEAM

Recruit unique allies from every corner of the multiverse! Mix and match to create your favorite team and bonuses, then have them join you in battle.

FIGHT AND RECRUIT THEM ALL

Fight and defeat anything (that the dev can think of)! Battles are automatic, so you can just sit back and watch the destruction unfold and the loot come in.

Also featuring:

  • Multiple failed attempts at humor

  • An equipment system that may or may not ever see the light of day

  • A relaxing, totally silent atmosphere (i.e. there's no sound or music of any kind, for now)

  • A very active dev who listens when he wants to

  • Regular updates (I'm actually serious about this one)

  • Possible copyright infringements in progress

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

AI was used to create most enemy sprites and icons.
