What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have several reasons for choosing Early Access.

We selected this course because we see a lot of advantages to following an episodic release schedule. However, Leviathan: the Cargo is merely on its way to becoming a complete game and will only stay in Early Access until it’s fully finished. Early adopters are able to play each chapter as it is completed, but can rest assured that the full game will be theirs in time.

We also plan to make Leviathan: the Cargo a really big game. In addition to regular main storyline updates we plan to release several side stories that shed more light on the events of the primary path as well as additional atmospheric dungeons and locations to explore.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to release the full version during Christmas 2016.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have a complete main storyline, several side stories and an open world containing advanced high-tech dungeons, green sunlit oases and a mysterious underground city with its accompanying suburbs.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have the first 3 chapters of the main story available. The game has just been published in Early Access and we are already working on the next content update.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price will increase with each subsequent update. The earlier you buy the game, the cheaper it is for you, and no additional payments is required.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Early Access is an opportunity to get some exposure right here and now, and this is what we don’t want to miss. Join us! We really would love to hear your feedback!

We are interested both in technical issues (possible bugs, stability and performance on PC, Mac and Linux), and overall user feedback (gameplay and usability).

We believe that games should be designed for gamers, so we would love it if you participated in the game discussions, our streams and open betas. Don’t miss your chance to take part in the making of this game and influence its development process. When the game is completed, the names of the most active and helpful players are going to go down in history.”

About This Game

WARNING: Leviathan: The Cargo is suspended.

Details —

What if world-changing stories begin from nothing? For example, from a gang of smugglers carrying a valuable cargo through the underground tunnels of an ancient city… A sealed box containing something meaningful, something that can change the fate of an entire country and its people.

It does not matter where this story starts. What matters is that you are a part of it, and the chest bearing the precious cargo is on a train seat right beside you.

Leviathan: the Cargo is an action adventure game based in the world of our previous game, Leviathan: The Last Day of the Decade. It is not only a sequel, but is also a completely new story of deep human fears, passions, redemption and happiness.

  • Original setting: a somber and mystic fantasy world filled with alien technologies and the arcane mysteries of noble families.
  • Your decisions are important: the characters listen to every word you say, and careless actions can lead to severe consequences or new side stories!
  • Gameplay as experience: features of adventure, shooter, RPG, visual novel and survival genres merge together to provide you with a unique and unforgettable feel.
  • Unique aesthetic: dark, grotesque comic book-style visuals, flashy camera angles and enthralling dialogues.
  • 18+: The Cargo is a mature game for mature people.
  • ...And you’ll be able to meet (or be reunited with) some of the characters from Leviathan: the Last Day of the Decade.
