About This Demo

Explore the first five chilling chapters of the full game in this demo!

What Is Liminal Shroud?

Liminal Shroud is a first-person horror exploration game set in surreal, liminal environments inspired by forgotten architecture, analog technology, and the uncanny feeling of being somewhere you shouldn’t be. Unlike typical “backrooms” games, Liminal Shroud blends ambient dread with interactive puzzles, mystery with a horror tone, and immersive sound design to create a truly original experience.

You will traverse shifting hallways, cavernous offices, and haunting liminal spaces, all while unraveling cryptic clues and surviving the creeping presence that lurks just beyond perception.

What Makes It Unique?

  • Original Environments: Every space is original, handcrafted and deeply atmospheric.

  • Narrative-Driven Exploration: Discover fragments of a story hidden in the architecture and audio design.

  • Unsettling Soundscapes: A standout sound design praised by streamers for its intensity and originality.

  • Analog Horror Aesthetic: A visual style that evokes the 1970s and 80s, amplifying the nostalgic unease.

Engage with the world you explore and unlock its secrets. Discover which laws of reality can be broken, but beware... This place doesn't want you to escape!

There are no monsters that chase you, but an inescapable dark presence watches your every move. The game has minimal UI, realistic environments and dark soundscapes to lose yourself in. Passages take many shapes and it's up to you to escape from this twisted reality.
