Groove Defense is a tower defense game where the music is tied directly to your build.

Every tower adds a part to the track. The more you expand your defense, the more the song fills out. By later waves, what you’re hearing is a result of the choices you made early on.

Enemies move with the tempo and attacks land in time, but the focus is still on strategy. Where you place towers, how you upgrade them, and how you handle pressure across lanes is what keeps you alive.

The Soundcheck Demo includes four stages built around different styles: Synthwave, Slasher Flick, 2010s Pop, and 80s-inspired synth. More are planned for full release.

There’s a campaign called Tour Mode, a Free Play option for experimenting with builds, and a separate Rhythm Remix mode that turns your run’s music into a Guitar Hero-style challenge.

I’ve spent most of my career as a composer, and this started as a simple idea: make music in games matter mechanically, not just emotionally. Groove Defense is a solo project built around that idea.
