YOUR DEFENSE IS THE MUSIC

Every tower is an instrument. Place a Drum Tower, the beat kicks in. When you place a Bass Tower, the low end fires. Your Pads and Lead Towers add melody. Enemies will move to your beat and towers fire on rhythm. Your strategy is the track!

THE ENEMIES

Weird soundwave creatures are trying to wreck your stage. The Walkers are slow and heavy, The Runners are fast and light. Swarmers are airborne and Tankers are massive creatures with big firepower.  Waves get harder as the BPM picks up and your song needs to keep up!

THE GENRES

As of The Soundcheck Demo there are four levels with four sounds:

  • Synthwave

  • Slasher Flick

  • 2010s Pop

  • 80s

More coming upon full release!

THE MODES

Tour Mode is the campaign. Free Play lets you replay levels. Rhythm Remix is a bonus Guitar Hero-style mode using the music you build.

A Note from the Developer

I’ve spent my career as a composer, and Groove Defense is my attempt to turn music into a core mechanic instead of just background noise. This is a solo project born out of a simple idea: if you're going to spend hours in a Tower Defense game, you might as well be building a track while you play.
