Was die Entwickler zu sagen haben:

Wozu Early Access?

„I believe Database Designer is a tool that can save a lot of time and effort for developers. I started this project around March 2025 after realizing my own need for building network projects quickly. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into making something that felt great to use and mattered.

That said, there are still occasional freezes, edge cases that need better error handling, and areas that could use more in-depth documentation and code cleaning.

On top of that, I want Database Designer to feel like the best solution rather than a generic one. This means adding more UI options, customization (like themes), and cloud saves with a one-click solution.

Until these features are fully implemented and Database Designer runs perfectly, I’ll label it as Early Access.“

Wie lange wird diese Software ungefähr den Early Access-Status haben?

„I am likely to remove Early Access around March/April 2026!“

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„The full version of Database Designer is intended to expand on the Early Access foundation, adding features, polish, and greater flexibility without making specific promises about release dates. Planned improvements over time include:

- Expanded UI and Customization: Themes, flexible layouts, and a more polished user experience.

- Enhanced Networking and Collaboration: Support for multiple session types, secure login methods, and centralized/decentralized formats.

- Extended Tooling and Automation: More database types, custom templates, mod support, and better documentation generation.

- Advanced Integrations: SSO login, marketplace support, API visual programming, and improved C# class generation.

- Next-Level Functionality: XR-based designer, local HTML website documentation, automated SQL execution, and true database designing capabilities (create any custom table/type).“

Was ist der derzeitige Stand der Early Access-Version?

„The Early Access version of Database Designer provides a fully functional foundation for creating PostgreSQL databases with no code required. You can:

- Generate SQL files including schemas, tables, references, and indexes.

- Auto-generate Markdown documentation for easy export.

- Create Entity Framework - friendly C# classes ready for integration.

- Use the tool completely locally, with no cloud dependencies.

- Benefit from PQC-resistant cryptography via Pariah Cybersecurity v2 by Walker Industries.

This version is stable for core database creation, but there are some occasional freezes and edge cases that need improved error handling. Some documentation and code areas may also need updating.

The Early Access release focuses on giving developers a fast, intuitive, and local tool while the team works on expanded UI options, customization (themes), cloud saves, and additional advanced features planned for the full version over time.“

Wird diese Software während und nach Early Access unterschiedlich viel kosten?

„Database Designer is free for everyone. The core features—database creation, SQL generation, documentation, and C# class export—are fully accessible with no paywalls, so anyone can experience a complete, high-quality tool. This will be the case, forever.

To support ongoing development and help fund future improvements, there will be optional paid extras, such as new UI themes, additional customization, or early access to updates. These are entirely optional—they do not limit access to the core tool or its main features.

This approach ensures that everyone can enjoy Database Designer while giving dedicated users a chance to support its growth and help maintain development.“

Wie werden Sie versuchen die Community in den Entwicklungsprozess miteinzubeziehen?

„The community is at the heart of Database Designer’s development. Feedback from early adopters will help shape new features, improve stability, and refine the user experience.
I plan to involve the community by:

- Listening to bug reports and feature requests from Early Access users.

- Sharing roadmap updates and asking for input on UI design, themes, and workflow improvements.

- Encouraging collaboration and discussion on forums or Discord for ideas, templates, and best practices.

- Highlighting community contributions where users help test, report issues, or suggest improvements and

This ensures that Database Designer evolves in a way that truly supports developers and reflects the needs of its users.“

Über diese Software

“Create Worlds, Not Walls.”

Designing PostgreSQL databases can feel like building walls—tedious, repetitive, and time-consuming. Database Designer turns that around. With just a few clicks, it generates everything you need (including SQL files, documentation, and C# models) so you can focus on creating your world: building apps, experimenting with schemas, or connecting services across projects.

Here’s what Database Designer delivers instantly:

Complete SQL files — schemas, tables, references, and indexes ready to deploy
📘 Markdown documentation — clean, exportable, and team-friendly
💻 Entity Framework–ready C# classes — plug-and-play with your applications

Why you should use it:

  • Save hours of repetitive work – no more manually writing SQL or maintaining endless documentation.

  • Work locally, securely – everything runs offline, keeping your data private (With an optional cloud solution coming soon).

  • Future-proof security – powered by Pariah Cybersecurity v2, an open-source, post-quantum–resistant library developed by Walker Industries with tech from BouncyCastle and other notable libraries. It uses NIST-approved functions like KYBERS CRYSTAL and AES256 to ensure your data stays safe today and in the quantum future.

  • Designed for usability – the interface is fast, intuitive, and enjoyable, making database design less of a chore.

  • Table and project templates – start faster with pre-built table structures or complete project templates, ensuring consistency across projects and speeding up database creation.

  • Open source – fully transparent and community-driven, so you can extend, customize, and trust the software.

Side note: While Database Designer will be open source with a free-to-use SDK, the current version has some messy code and minor bugs. Future updates will improve stability, add new functionality and overall have a pretty good polish.

Built by developers, for developers

Database Designer began as an internal tool to quickly connect services across XRUIOS, Project Replicant, and other projects. It quickly evolved into a full-featured database solution with contributions from an amazing team:

🎨 Kennaness – crafted polished, intuitive art assets
🛠️ jpena173 – optimized the backend architecture and performance

  • Ares – provided critical guidance on feature development

  • IiErickiI – offered UI/UX feedback that made the tool a joy to use

Who benefits the most:

  • Developers learning PostgreSQL or experimenting with new schemas

  • Teams building production-ready applications

  • Anyone who wants to focus on creating worlds, not walls

Why it matters

Database Designer removes the friction from database creation, freeing you to design, innovate, and build. Whether you’re a solo developer, a small team, or part of a larger studio, this tool transforms tedious database setup into a seamless, productive, and even enjoyable process.
