About This Game

The Failed is a 3D puzzle game developed by me as a solo developer. It was inspired by the classic escape the room browser games I grew up playing and it’s my first attempt to bring that experience into 3D.

Story

Scientists discovered a compound known as RCX-9. When it successfully integrates with human cells, it can restore damaged tissue by following the body’s original pattern, rebuilding failed organs and even regrowing lost limbs.

The tests were carried out on people at the edge of death and out of nearly 2,000 test subjects, only one has been considered a success. In every other case, RCX-9 failed to integrate with the subject’s DNA. Those subjects were labeled Failed. Some were disposed of. Others were locked away for future experiments.

Gameplay

• Explore and search: Find the necessary items hidden around the facility.

• Use and combine: Use or combine items to solve puzzles and open the path forward.

• Read and deduce: Examine the notes and figure out how they connect to the puzzles around you.

• Stay safe: Find ways to avoid certain threats that may be caused by other failed subjects.
