Miksi Early Access?

Unfathom is currently in early playtesting, with a focus on local play through our arcade machines located in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. As we continue gathering feedback from players, we are exploring a future Steam release that may include cross-play support with our physical cabinets.

Unfathom is expected to remain in Early Access and free to play on Steam until we feel the game has reached a state that reflects our goals for quality and player experience.

During Early Access, we aim to refine the balance and overall feel of Unfathom over the course of approximately one year of active development. If Unfathom progresses beyond Early Access, we plan to explore continued updates that may include new features and additional content.

Early Access will feature a limited selection of classes (currently four) as we continue expanding the class roster. During this phase, gameplay will focus on the “Dungeon Control” mode, which is shared with our physical arcade machines.

If development continues successfully, a full release may include additional classes, new game modes, online play with cross-platform support for our arcade machines, and user-generated content integration through Steam Workshop.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

During Early Access, Unfathom will feature a limited roster of four classes and concentrate on the “Dungeon Control” mode, consistent with our arcade release.

Unfathom will remain free to play throughout Early Access and is expected to be priced appropriately upon its full release.

We aim to use this feedback to guide improvements and support rapid iteration throughout development, helping Unfathom grow into the best experience it can be.

Unfathom is an arcade-style dungeon crawler where up to eight friends compete in a frantic quest to complete objectives, collect treasure, and battle monsters. This class-based, isometric action RPG is inspired by old-school classics.

Choose from twelve unique base classes (with four available in Early Access), each equipped with three powerful skills. Build your team roster and explore dynamic dungeons filled with traps, creatures, and challenging objectives your team must complete.

Looking for more structured play?
In addition to freeform matches, Unfathom features a scenario-based campaign mode that lets players take on handcrafted challenges in a narrative-driven setting. Play competitively or cooperatively with others as you advance through a series of tactical encounters. Each one includes unique goals, rules, and evolving threats, offering a strategic experience reminiscent of classic skirmish and real-time strategy campaigns.
