What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Zuno is already feature-complete for movie and TV libraries, but I want to refine it with real user feedback before expanding into music and podcast support. Early Access gives me a chance to fine-tune performance, UI flow, and controller experience on real hardware like the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and Legion Go.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“Early Access to last around 3–6 months, depending on feedback and testing. My focus will be stability, polish, and new media types (Music and Podcasts).”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan for the full release of Zuno to expand into a broader media experience.
my goals include exploring:

- Music and podcast library support
- Additional customization options for the library view
- Deeper metadata control and artwork caching improvements

These plans may evolve based on community feedback and testing during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Zuno’s movie and TV systems are fully featured and stable. It automatically scans drives, fetches artwork and info, and plays your media locally all optimized for handhelds. All major features, including credit skip, autoplay, and multi-language support, are complete and stable.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Zuno will launch at a lower Early Access price and increase slightly when the full version releases to reflect new features and polish.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I’ll be gathering feedback directly from Steam users through the Discussions page and email. Player input will help shape the final features especially for customization, accessibility, and additional media support.”

About This Software

Zuno is a media hub built for handheld gaming PCs. On Steam Deck, ROG Ally, or Legion Go, it transforms your storage into a cinematic library. Put your collection into a zuno folder and your library appears almost instantly, complete with posters, backdrops, logos, and detailed metadata, all presented in a sleek, handheld-friendly interface.

Zuno is designed to run offline, keeping your library in your control without the need for cloud services. It delivers smooth playback, supports multiple languages, and is crafted from the ground up for gaming devices, making it the perfect way to enjoy your collection anywhere.

Your Library, Perfectly Organized

Zuno takes the mess out of managing media. It scans your drives, builds your library automatically, and keeps everything looking sharp. Each SD card or external drive keeps its own setup, so you only see what’s really there. No duplicates, no confusion.

Features:
Automatic scanning — Detects new or removed files as soon as you connect a drive.
Detailed artwork and info — Adds posters, backdrops, and details for every title.
Separate libraries per drive — Always know what’s available on the device you plugged in.
Fast syncing — Updates only what changed, not the whole library.

Press Play and Relax

Zuno keeps things smooth from start to finish. Credits skip automatically, episodes roll into the next, and your spot is saved every time. When you step away, the built in screensaver fades in with subtle movement that protects your screen without breaking immersion.

Features:
Automatic credit skip — Jumps past end credits for you.
Auto play next — Keeps the flow going without interruptions.
Resume playback — Picks up exactly where you left off.
Built in screensaver — Clean, low key motion to protect your display.

Made for Everyone

Zuno works in ten languages and handles tricky filenames like a pro. Accents, symbols, dual titles, all sorted. The whole app runs on a controller, so you never need a keyboard or mouse.

Features:
Ten languages built in — English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese.
Accent aware parsing — Recognizes complex or foreign language filenames.
Controller only navigation — Every action from your gamepad.
Localized menus and tooltips — Everything appears in your chosen language.

About the Developer

I built Zuno because handheld gamers deserve software made for them — not ported from desktop. I wanted something offline, fast, and controller-first, built to feel like it truly belonged on the Steam Deck and other handhelds.

Every part of Zuno was shaped through real use and iteration on the devices themselves. It’s built by one player, for everyone who loves their handhelds as much as I do.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Zuno itself does not use AI in its functionality or gameplay.

During development, some parts of the codebase were created with the assistance of AI coding tools to improve productivity and prototype features.

In promotional materials, a few fictional posters and titles were AI-generated to illustrate how a media library might look, since real copyrighted artwork could not be used.
These AI-generated visuals are used only in marketing materials and do not appear in the app itself.
